So like it says in the title... People keep disconnecting and reconnecting to my server!

While playing around everyone that has connected outside of my LAN just drops out and I'm not sure if they instantly reconnect or if they join back. But that doesn't matter. People just keep losing connection...

Yes I have forwarded my ports properly.

This is a dedicated server.

I may have fixed the problem!

I'm trying not to get over confident because then the problem will definitely come back.

But I changed back the virtual memory settings to default instead of the 4GB I set it too. Heh

EDIT: Would you look at that... They still disconnect!

Help!

Do they get an error message? If not could you link me to your server and I will test.

That would be good. I should have checked earlier. I will post on this thread again and I will send you a PM so you can join and help me figure this out!

Thank you! :(   :)

EDIT: I don't think they got any error messages. It just crashed. But I will still want you to help me with this.

Also for some reason if you hang around at spawn (/home) the game crashes. It works fine everywhere else but people still disconnect every now and then. P.S. I'm still not entirely sure what exactly happens on their end.

Here's how I solved that problem for my server
I don't know if you are using linux or not, but I was running MCAdmin on it and that was the cause of the kicks. I switched over to Hey0's mod and haven't had a single kick yet.

Only thing I'm getting now is very bad rollbacks about 4 - 5 hours in and I have to restart it.

I'm using Windows XP on my server and I do not have a server wrapper. I am using good old vanilla.

Also I have sent you a PM HappyHitman!  :D

Sounds like a corrupted map that is making you crash at spawn.

I understand that but there is more to it then that!

Come back.   :iapprove:

EDIT: We don't go near spawn so that problem doesn't matter any more. There is a disconnecting problem away from spawn and in every other map I host.

You can set the spawn to somewhere else.
