I'll be adding this to my game too.

If they conflict with NatureOverhaul, I'll give a patch ;D (though, it'll be a few days, I'm a tad busy with uni)

Simply put, awesome. Love the little hand gestures. And props to you for the Quintessential creatures update. Minecraft needs people such as yourself and Firehazurd.

They do seem to be very rare at times,Also look what they did to my backyard xD Posted Image
Be for they were there it was a barren wasteland with no trees,now its a forest!

Yeah, that's coming eventually. The mod still has a few more features coming. This version is incomplete. And thanks a lot for that skin, it helps because Firehazurd never made one for spruce.

I've decided to make that a configurable option. Gonna use 303's propsmod to do that. It's just that almost nobody cares about planting trees. So I wanted to give people more of a reason to keep them alive.

make the pine ones do diamond but you have a 3% chance of finding one and then a 7% chance of i planting a block

Mmm. close, but I think I'll do it a bit differently. Everyone's asking for a lower rate on the blocks, so I'm going to drop the block rate to 5% for normal and 4% for birch. All grove sprites that spawn in snow will be spruce, they will only plant their saplings in snow, and the block rate for them will be 3% diamond blocks. I think that will work out nicely. And the thing on top of a spruce grove sprite will look different.

Here's a list of all other updates I have planned:

The details of the spruce ones and metal block changes are written above.

Metal block drops will also be a configurable option.

Grove sprites will have a different death animation, representing that of a log block being broken. This means little wooden shards flying everywhere and a log block being produced.

Multiple grove sprites will have to be killed in order for the apocalypse effect (thunder) to take place. It will be three within one minute. So if you kill two or less in a single minute, you'll be fine.

Grove Sprites will eat grass seeds to regain health. This means you can hold grass seeds in your hands, and all three varieties will follow you.

And finally, if someone is ballsy enough to give me some suggestions, I might add voices to them. I'm thinking a voice similar to Toad from the Mario games would be suitable, but of course they won't speak english. And I can record them myself if I have to, I did do the fairies and the nekos after all.

I like that, except maybe a little deeper?

Also, instead of making it you have to kill 3 in a minute, could you reduce the range because I had one of my guys following me and the other about 35 blocks away, and I accidentally killed the guy following me (What's their health coz he died one shot of a Iron shovel [or did I hit him twice?]) and the other guy became a Cinder Sprite.

Also, you should add a way to make them turn back to normal (Water bucket?)

I think if any sounds like that are added, I will just remove them. I'd prefer an ambient kind of chittering sound.

I really like the idea of chao-esque noises for the sprites, seems really appropriate. I also think these guys could attack regular hostile mobs like skeletons and zombies. If they successfully kill the mob, it should turn into a tree.

Also, is this able to be installed on a server? :)
