MPMenu

Choose from a list of servers!

If you play on multiple servers often, like I do, it's annoying to have to type in the server name every time you want to switch. This mod replaces the multiplayer connection text field with a scrollable list of servers. You can add and remove servers as you like, the list is fully customizable! You can also take screenshots of the servers, as well as add any image next to each server. Finally, it also replaces changes the pause menu to link to the multiplayer menu instead of the main page, and it adds a reconnect option to the "Connect Failed" page.

Post any comments, questions, etc. I'll do my best to respond!

Download and Install

You will need to install ModLoader before you install this mod!

Download: https://github.com/y...PMenu-1.7.1.zip - Works with 1.7.3
Source: https://github.com/y...u-1.7.1-src.zip

Windows Installation: See this thread
Mac Installation:

  • Open Finder and go to your home directory. Then go to Library -> Application Support -> minecraft -> bin. You should now be in the "bin" folder with various ".jar" files in it including minecraft.jar.
  • Control-click minecraft.jar, and open it with "Archive Utility". You should get a folder called "minecraft"
  • Delete the minecraft.jar file, and rename the minecraft folder to "minecraft.jar"
  • In that folder, find the META-INF folder and delete it
  • Insert all the class files in the MPMenu zip file into this folder
  • Play!

Usage

When you open the multiplayer menu, you will not have any servers in the list. You can click the "Add" button and add servers there. If you make a mistake, you can edit or delete them using the respective buttons.

You can also connect to a server without adding it to the list with the "Quick connect" button. You enter the server address as before.

To take a screenshot in-game, press F7. This will save a screenshot for that server, so when you go the menu, it will show up. If you want to supply your own image, add a 128x72 image to the %appdata%/mods/yetanotherx/mpmenu/screenshots directory. The filename is the server address, in PNG format.

This Is Stolen From http://www.minecraft...menu-favorites/
No Creds Were Given, and it's exactly the same from the previous release.

Mainly the same source is used, please give credit to the one who made it originally.

EDIT: VERY Similar Code, Not exactly the same though, Sorry for the troll, >.<

Mod edit: please research more before accusation of theft next time, as such accusation is very damaging to reputation.

Holy crud! This is so amazing! I love this! Though this needs the ability to name which server is which. :P

Edit: Small error.... I used Quick Connect and I couldn't Cancel from it. I have to connect and cancel from the connecting screen.

I travel between 3 different servers regularly, and I enjoy playing on new servers a lot. This makes it so much easier!

@yetanotherx, I think you uploaded the wrong files, as modloader reads them as version 1.5_01 mod files

Just getting a black screen when I try to log into a single player world.
Tested with a few other of my mods and it seems to be from this one.
Not getting a error window to tell me for sure though.

Seems that I got it working??? Not sure what I did. but its going now. Maybe I was just not being patient enough.

I'm getting the same error as Sarelth. Itloads up fine until I go to singleplayer. I'll try reinstalling things in a different order to see if that works.
Update: Nope, doesn't even work on it's own with just modloader and HD patcher. Hope it'll be fixed soon, it's a great help :(

Works for me. Can you try it with this mod (http://www.minecraft...ort-mod-may-14/) and show the error log?
