You can make steel ingots by putting a iron block in the furnace.

You can then you that steel to make a steel block or tools. The steel tools are twice as strong as iron tools. That is why steel ingots are very expensive. And no. They won't EVER be cheaper.

And of course you can put the steel block back into the workbench and get your steel back.
Iron nails are used for flooring recipes. They may seem cheap but trust me, they drop in count fast for floors.

But it wouldn't make much sense to use nails with carpet, right? That's where staples come in! =)

Let's make some floors now.
First up we have the stone floor.

Stone slab floor

Hard wood floor (wooden planks)

Wooden floor

Cobblestone floor

Gold Block Floor

Diamond Block Floor

Iron block floor. This stuff ain't cheap!

For making tile floors. You'll need some ash. This can be gathered by putting wooden planks, wool, or paper in the furnace.

Then simply put the ash in the furnace. I know it doesn't make much sense but cool down. Maybe I will change it later...

Now arrange the tiles in this order and you get a tile floor! =)

Of course ashes aren't just used for tiles. They are used for making cement mixes. You may need pulveriized brick though. Just saying. You know? You know what I'm saying?

And yes. You smash the brick with your fists.

You can then make some patio floors. Pretty cool...

And how about a lapis lazuli floor?

AND OF COURSE carpet. There is no official carpet block though...

And overview of the floors and carpet.

Windows are cool right? How about a wooden one and a steel one. =D

Limestone generates in the world and can be found in quantities up to 6.

It can then be harvested (as a whole block now) and then turned into a Limestone brick.
But don't forget the chisel!

Then make some Limestone Blocks!

You may be asking, "Why so CHEAP?". That's when I answer, "Why so Serious?".
One of the coolest things in this mod is damp wood. IT DOESN'T LIGHT ON FIRE AT ALL but is a little darker than normal wood.

And of course, if you would like to get regular wood back, that's cool too bro.

And why not homemade gunpowder? Nothin' better than sugar and coal. =)

Oh and you can untwine wool for string. It isn't very effecient compared to how much string is needed to make wool though.

I always thought it would be cool to have iron fences. SO WHAT THE HECK!
But first you'll need some iron bars. =)

Isn't that ice such an annoyance? Trying to break it with your fists, then after it all is done, IT SNOWS. Well, let me introduce the ICE PICK!! YEA!!

And although it is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY hard to tell that it owns ice, I'm 131% sure it will devastate any ice that is in your way.

Mulch is really cool. You can place flowers and saplings on them but I'm not quite sure if saplings will grow. (Let me know if it does.)
The original idea was to make mulch by puttting it through a shredder. Unfortunately I'm unfamiliar with how to make GUI's at the moment so maybe in a future update.

Lamps can be made with redstone underneath torches. Yes it doesn't make sense but I just wanted to get this update out or it would be another week before release.

LAMP OFF

LAMP ON =)

Do you like my invisible power source?
Iron Hatches work like iron doors. They need redstone to open.

Moss stairs. Another cool thing.

Reinforced glass is used in a lot of mods. But I decided its cool so it's going into a sweet mod.
I know the texture sucks but live with it for now.

And I put it through a test of explosion resistance...

It passed. =D
Granite generates in the world like limestone. It will have a use in the next update if I can get good images.
