Ok, it has probably been said 1000 times, but from my research I haven't found anything to help my issue. I've been getting the:

[WARNING] **** NOT ENOUGH RAM!
[WARNING] To start the server with more ram, launch it as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar"

So I read to go into terminal, and access the server and then launch that command. My problem is when ever I try to access:

/Users/*username*/Downloads/minecraft_server.jar

It comes up with an error that says "permission denied". So I'm looking for any help on what I can do to fix this.

What do you mean by access it via terminal?

First off I would suggest getting it out of your downloads folder and putting it within a folder on your desktop. Name it whatever you want, for sake of example, Ill name it Minecraft_Server
Then go into terminal and type
cd *path to the folder on your desktop*
Press enter and then put in
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar
and press enter and it should launch
So for you, I assume you would want to type
cd /Users/*username*/Desktop/Minecraft_Server/
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar

If that still doesn't work try right clicking and clicking "Get info" and at new window will pop up. At the bottom there will be "Permissions". Give read and write access to yourself if its not already and try again.

Alternatively you can download Thau's osx wrapper
Put it where you like, I'd recommend the desktop launch it, then fully quit it. Put your minecraft_server.jar in
/Users/Documents/MinecraftServerSettings/server
Launch Thaus wrapper again, it'll give a bunch of errors but still start.
Quit it completely
Launch it one last time and it will work and give 1gig of ram.

I hope that helps!

I wrapped the server into an Application. Download it here: http://dl.dropbox.co...raft Server.zip

Just unzip it and out will pop "Minecraft Server.app". It's the most recent multiplayer server and I think there's instructions. If not it's pretty obvious how it works if you know your way around a Mac.
