Sections of map 'missing'?

I'm sorry if this is a redundant thread, but I don't know what I would search for to find any original threads.

I'm getting lots of errors in the map like these. How do I fix them without breaking what I already have on the map, and what are these errors called?

Register or log in to remove.

called a chunk load error. Theres no way for these to be prevented they are all apart of buggy beta multiplayer.

Chunk error. Try relogging in SMP or for SSP try saveing and quiting thenn opening the map.

Could you elaborate? I'm not sure I get what you're saying. If I'm interpreting you right, then it would make no difference. The errors have been there across 30 some-odd sessions.
