A fun Blog I started to show off my Minecraft mural creations. Would love some feedback and ideas for what to do next ^^ I'm mostly doing anime and video game sprites atm but will do anything (within size limits) that seems fun and interesting.

Thanks! I like the Chocobo too and am really pleased with how it turned out. I host my own private server for RL friends which is where I'm doing all this atm. I am thinking about creating a public server for art creations but not sure how many would be interested in it.

Does anyone know of a mod for SMP that will add a ton more colored wool to your pallet? I find the base 15 rather lacking for larger projects and projects that have much shading to them. There are only so many other color blocks (i.e. gold, diamond, pumkins, wood, etc.) that help add shades and variety. Any suggestions on where to find one or any modders out there willing to make one for SMP?

You should just make a texture pack that is just all blocks of solid color.

I could but I'm not sure there are enough current blocks to get enough of the shades I'm looking for (about 5 of each base color, 2 lighter, 2 darker, plus the base) Notch already has 3 shades of blue and 2 of green but the rest lack. I would love to just find a nice indigo/ light lavender shade. Some dark red, dark green and dark blue would be lovely as well. I just don't know what block textures I would sacrifice for those. I use the different woods for brown shades, sand(stone) I use as my beige source and gold, iron and lapis lazuli I use for their sheen and vibrancy. not much left to change that I don't already use.

Another inquiry, does anyone know a program that can turn high res pics into pixel art? I've tried almost anything and everything I can find in Adobe Photoshop CS5 and can't find anything that works well. Is there even such a program or do I just need to find a good pixel artist for custom jobs?

Added a new page to the blog for guests to post their own mural creations as well! Feel free to show off your work and have fun.
I'm in the process of setting up a server for mural creations and once I can figure out how to set up Multiverse I may release it to the public if anyone would be interested in a free build mural server.
Let me know thoughts and ideas!
