This will be my first time for both posting and creating a mod. I have only tested this in Linux but believe it works the same on windows. Be aware that I am still learning about Java programming so if it crashes which it shouldn't im sorry. Got tired of forgetting the older servers that I wrote down somewhere, so I made this which stores them in a text file in .minecraft. Probably should add a rename button later on just don't know where to put it. If any better programmers look at the source code and find problems I will try my best to fix them. Also I have not checked the compatibility with any other mods but still don't think it will have a problem with them since I only changed a few of the menu classes.

UDATE:
Added Rename button
Added where you could have the ip and a custom server name
Fixed crashing when connect button is pressed when nothing is selected
fixed not being able to delete
fixed servers.txt saving problems

Sweet! It's always been annoying having to dredge up different server names, kudos for making something useful (instead of an obsidian tool mod hehe) I'll test it if I've got time but atm I'm just writing code in MCP instead of playing minecraft so I might be a while :Diamond:
:D Awesome :Diamond:
When faced with a 16X16 bit block: a elf will go over it, a dwarf will go under it and a human will go through it, pick it up and build a ruddy great big castle :P

If anyone tests this on a windows computer it would make me very happy if you could reply so I can make sure that everything is working properly. there should not be any problems but I just want to make sure.

oK sorry about that I think i fixed it. I forgot that the minecraft directory is different from the windows minecraft directory. So it could save the server file. Now it should be able to tell that you have windows a save it in the minecraft directory.

I'd love this mod, if it worked. Great idea and a good layout for the gui part. But when I try and add a server I can add a name and ip. When I click add it just jumps back to the list and doesn't seem to add anything. Would there be any way to just edit the .txt file (I can't seem to find it) Hope you fix this soon. I'm on Windows Xp Sp2 btw, if you need to know.

For some reason I'm still not being able to add servers to the list. Don't know if anybody else is having this problem, if not then I'm probably doing something wrong. Am I right in thinking we take the .class files out of the menu folder and copy them to minecraft.jar?

OK I have now edited to write the server file just like the minecraft default options file. This should make it work on any OS.

Well done with the bugfixing :SSSS: Works fine now. I can see this mod being very useful. And will this mod not work after updates? As it doesn't modify any files use in-game?

Seeing how I used the Select World GUI as a guide to give me an Idea how to build it, it should work just fine with any update. Even the one Notch has been mentioning at his blog.

working fine on 1.6.5, but you should make like database for the servers... its anoying to lose them after a patch.

All you need to do is keep the servers.txt file thats in the .minecraft folder. You still should have it unless you completely removed the old .minecraft folder for the update.
