I just finished my boat elevator system, and it works perfectly.

The hole on the left is where you fall into the town. The iron door stops you until you exit the boat by entering the minecart, so you don't glitch on the boat. The button sends the minecart back down to the holding chamber.

The room on the left is where you land when you fall into the town. The button on the right calls a boat which you enter on the way up. You can sneak off the corner to stop the boat without having to waste a block. The boat floats to the top, where water above signs catch you and you are held in by the iron door until you exit.

Here's an image of the inner workings, but it's not very clear. If you want to check it out, come on the server!

ello, My IGN is Garybob and I Whant to be a Mod on your server, I owne'd a server before, but couldn't asfford to keep it up..... so you can trust me, I know all commands from /poof and /vanish to //set and all world edit commadns I know /region commands and I know how to /tp[to] and /manuadd commands and If you don;t have them commmands, then you should get them...

I would like to join! I don't have much experience with anything ecxept Redstone and Architecture, but I guess that doesn't matter. Could you make me Mod possibly? I mean we don't know eachother well but I could be of some use.
And If I get accepted, could I like make a city or town somewhere? Maybe build some homes, a court, a supermarket, a security service, and a high-tech jailhouse. ( I'm going off topic aren't I. I always do that...)

First of all, I just realized your acronym is TITS. I lol'd
Anyway, I do like the appeal of high-grade entry requirements; it's so depressing seeing unimaginative cube structures and square fortresses dotting the landscape. I'm pretty sure I could be accepted here, but I'd like to ask about TITS' stance/vision on a few things. I just joined up with Alesgan, a few of whom I know to be cool people with good skills, and it's attractive to me because of the clan's size and its implications for a living economy, where I can build a decent business and trade in a variety of ways. First of all, what is TITS' stance on multiclanning? Would you be opposed to me coming on to check out the map, the clan, and see if I'd like to stay? I get the impression this is a private server, not shared with any other clans, correct? What is your best guess for the clan's outlook on growth, and how do you imagine it'll play into the development of the server economy?

Anyway, the skylands map looks interesting and would introduce a whole new dynamic to play, so I'm interested, but I'm still also interested in Alesgan, and I'm not sure which way I want to lean. I'll apply now, and if it's a problem with you then you obviously don't have to accept me.

My biggest strength in minecraft is architectural design. Here are photos of my current WIP in SSP, a wealthy post-modern city:

Hi my IGN is Charrgirl18 and I want to be a builder and i think i would be a great addition to your server. here are a few reasons. 1 i would build helpful things like tree farms and bridges to others property(with permission) 2. I could help with othe3rs with their buildings. 3. I was one of the best ops in one of the other servers so i would always report someone when theyre doing something wrong. also i would love to build a House a cake and a MASSIVE trading post in a city with wolfs in every house with a piggy farm and a clock tower with a ticking sound a massive tree farm a bio dome with another tree farm inside a floating observatory a floating heavenly temple, and a research facility for researching whatever you want

I love to build, really. I'm pretty good at it, too. I'm a trustworthy guy who likes to help others, and is generally a team player. In many servers I worked as a courier, since I use Flymod. I do NOT grief.

Ya you are a great builder, I thought i was a great builder before i saw your buildings. I dont know what to say right now except OH MY GOSH, WHAT THE HECK THOSE BUILDINGS ARE FREAKIN EPIC!!!! there thats all i have to say.

We have no rule against being a member of multiple clans. It's just a game, after all. I am not opposed to anyone checking out the map. Wanderers can do no harm, and I appreciate the enthusiasm!

Yes, this is a private server. Its growth will be determined by the creativity and effort shown by its members, and I shall play my part by doing my best to keep up with the demands of those members.

New members: remember that when you first join, you can explore all you'd like. If you want to build, you can become a builder by claiming land (typically an entire island, to keep things more manageable). The best way to do this is to take a screenshot of the island you want, attach the image to a new post (please not a PM), and call dibs! Otherwise, if you see me in game, I can give you ownership of the land then and there!

Saw a forest fire. No one else was on, so I assumed it was a natural fluke.

I have a question. You seem to think we're all going to claim separate islands and then build our own things on them. Is it your intent that when we claim land, we're primarily claiming it as our main building area?
I'm a community person. I like to build with the community, build cities and do business. My personal property is usually modest, my real projects leaning towards public buildings. So with all that in mind, I don't want to claim land because I don't know where anyone else would like to claim land. I'd like neighbors, and a community to build up in a central location. Since I don't know where that would be, right now I'm looking at islands in terms of mineral rights, natural resources I could turn to profit.
In a nutshell, if we're all on different islands, are we even building a city? What's your vision for our style of community? Could there be such things as public islands, or islands which are divided into smaller units of land ownership?
Alright, after reading the opening post more carefully,

If I read this correct, the intent is that I'm looking for good places to build a city. Is this correct?
In that case, our cities are going to be small and far apart, unless you'd rather discuss city founding in the thread here.
