If you are having problems with the game crashing or blocks not looking correctly please re patch. If that doesn't work then delete the bin folder in the minecraft app data and re launch minecraft then patch.
Im I being stupid or are there problems here, bricks and jack o lanterns are mucked up aswell as netherrack. Whats going on??????? Thanks for updating the pack though!
I love the texture pack but for some reason my while playing on a friends name I was trying to build a house and the doesn't seem to load correctly, it has fire and portals in the lower right and upper left corners respectfully and then brick in the other two on all 6 sides, and the jack-o-lanterns have a corner on the top that is a blue water texture and on the left have a corner of lava texture.

I like everything, the dog isn't that bad, I like it, but... Where could I get some alt mobs? I don't like how the hostiles look except for spiders. :\ But yeah, if you could show me where I can find alts for booster tracks, and mobs, that'd be great. Also, will you continue to update it?
There is a an alt mob folder where you can find alt mobs. but if you want something different then that. I'm using the mixcraft Mobs for my personal texture pack.
i realy like that you updated gerudoku texture, but i have been reading a lot of comments now and i´m asking you if you could get all the changes into the texture. and the changes that you dont want to be in the texture to set those in the forum page so people (including me) can easily see what they can change in what map (you could make a text file in the download instead of this).
and my opinion is that for the powerd rails is that you should make iron rails with small golden lines next to them (from the inside) and making something like redstone in the middle.
i dont like the rails now but its no big deal
minecart button tracks looks just fine!
if you could make the dogies more civelisized cos the dogs look very wild now, wich i think dont match the texture. but thats just me!
for other guys here please comment about the powerd rails thing, you like it? want it different? let Lil_Jening know plz!
Great work! keep it up ^^. i hope you get 1.6 out soon after release, i would DIE without it!
have a nice day,
War.Freak
Thanks for the feedback but i didn't get the first thing you said... "i´m asking you if you could get all the changes into the texture. and the changes that you dont want to be in the texture to set those in the forum page so people (including me) can easily see what they can change in what map (you could make a text file in the download instead of this)."
I will keep on updating this texture pack, if you look at my recent post you can see that. i will look in to the rails for you. it is a good idea.
Oh yea about the wolves this is how I'm looking at it. They are wolves not dogs they should look like wolves. please don't take it the wrong way but they are wolves. do you get where im coming from?
I just wish I could make it all work for me. Sadly I have to choose between MCPatcher and Mods, so then I feel obliged to choose the mods which add a little more to the game for me.
Shame there's not a good x16 version of this one (looked at Mini-gerudoku, does not look good... :/ )
lil_jening asked me for permission to update my pack. Since this seems to be the primary up-to-date version of gerudoku, I figured I should post my answer here on the record.
As yall have probably noticed by now, I've pretty much dropped out of the minecraft community. I had hoped to come back after things settled down a little IRL, but life had other plans. Also, truth be told, I'm kind of burned out on minecraft and probably won't have any desire to pick it up again for months. It's hard to make yourself spend time modding/texturing for a game you don't play anymore.
Fortunately, people like you are doing a great job of carrying the torch. When I started editing GERUDOKU, it was because nobody else was making the kind of texture packs/compilations that I wanted to use. Now there are dozens of capable artists and compilers who can do the job just as well as I ever did. It was getting to the point where "updating" just meant waiting for somebody with more skills to post their new textures and then copying them in without editing anything. It's no longer my game.
In short, I'm not needed here anymore. I say that with relief. It's been really gratifying to see how the texturing community has developed and embraced gerudoku-style compilations in a spirit of sharing and creativity. At this point, I am happy to throw in the towel, confident that others with more time and talent will take over and do a fine job of it.
I have given lil_jening permission to continue updating the pack (apparently that's required here now?) and I also encourage anyone else who wants to make their own variation to do the same, as long as they do their best to give credit where it belongs. (Including and updating the credits.rtf file I maintained should be good enough.) People PM me all the time asking if they can "use my textures", but in most cases they aren't mine to give. I would ask, though, that nobody claims that their continuation is the "official" gerudoku update. If I ever come back to minecraft, I'll be the one to do that ;]
Maybe there should be one big thread for all the dokuRPG and gerudoku-based compilations, sort of like my old thread had become. I'll leave that up to you all to work out. My old thread should probably be locked/archived/whatever, because that ship has sailed. I can't be bothered to figure out how to do that on this new forum layout, so if any mods are reading this, be my guest!!
Thanks for all your patience and support. Keep digging.
Ok I'll try to keep it updated.
Thanks!
Ok I have fixed it and I will upload the .png when I get home.
-"Wizard's Revenge" Achievement, Fable III
Are you looking at the terrain.png? Because it has to be that colour for the game to recognize it.
Can I ask what you mean by that?
Can you provide a link to it?
You have to use the patcher. <.<

i don't know if this answered your question.
Needs to blend a little better, but great! This is my personal favorite pack. Glad you updated it. Ready for 1.6 yet?
