I have no idea if this is real, but here it is.

PIRATERS, NOW YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE TO PIRATE THE GAME.

This will actually be pretty useful for friends who are skeptical about Minecraft. :)
Nope.

It was mentioned in the past that a demo would be made. Glad to see it's finally been release! (I think.)

I think the only limitation is that you can only play for 90 minutes.

Nope. It's not a piracy. It's still demo. It's not my fault that it takes time from a SAVE timer which can be changed by NBTEdit. All the secret.

It is piracy.
PCgamer used the minecraft files (they had permission from notch) and redistributed them, but the copyright of the original files still counts, and it says that you may not redistribute the minecraft files. and you did.
so its piracy;

In my link, there's link to minecraft demo FROM OFFICIAL PC Gamer site, and link to a SAVE for a  demo, that have a  game time set on -999999999999999999 with NBTEdit that is available on forums.

And don't try to say that distributing SAVES is a piracy..I laughed hard.

This will help for some of my friends who are thinking about buying Minecraft. But if this does come out it should include a tutorial, because i'm pretty sure some people will be clueless when first playing.

Keep in mind is it single player only and mac-incompatible. Sucks, I know.

Nope, but distributing tools to aid in piracy (ie. the save itself) is piracy.

Better just pirate it then, since only 1 save is available

Does anyone else think it's funny that they released a demo to a game in Beta?

But honestly, it was needed.

Does it count as piracy if I gave the demo to my friends and not my save file when the demo is publicly available on the internet? I gave it to them via something often called a thumb drive. Am I in trouble now?
... so basically I saved them the 30 seconds to navigate to that webpage
and the 0.2 to 100 second time to download. So PCGamer is allowed to distribute the demo
but I'm not allowed to distribute the demo...
