So is this meant to be some kind of lockable gate? Couldn't you just break the fence or the gate? You should tell/explain more in the OP than just give the recipe.

Well that doesn't necessarily have to be a lock, Jampp. Don't get too ahead of yourself. Its probably a handle

Locks would be useless
What are we locking ourselves from?
If we lock the door how do we open it?
If we can open it then so can other people on multiplayer
If others cannot then a person can just lock himself inside of anyplace or even trap other person in his own house
I disapprove
It looks more like a griefing helper than a saver

jeez guys, i'm just trying it to make it realistic, yes, it wont lock, but its there for decoration. Have you ever seen a gate without a lock?

Perhaps 'latch' would have been a less controversial word choice (seriously, people are getting torn up over the word 'lock'?)?

Alright, good, as long as it's been said that gates will be done. I feel a strong need for them not just for decoration but to keep effing animals out of my dock (they bust up my boats, dangit!) and from trampling my seeded fields, but still allow for me to get in and out without having to bust down a fence. I currently have a door there, and haven't finished the fence to see if it will work, but it looks wonky, regardless.
