Does it just happen on one world or does it happen on every level? Also what Evalora said.

EDIT : Try in browser and the downloaded one, does it happen on both?

Im using the Downloaded one, and it happens to the whole screen, it goes black and just locks up, when I come back the world reset and im 10 feet under dirt.

I'm downloading the newest Java, not sure if that might be it.

If it still happens try the web one, I'm pretty sure there are some firefox addons that allow fullscreen minecraft in the browser.

I'm having a similar problem. When I first start my computer minecraft runs fine then about 8-9 hours later[I spend way too much time on minecraft] it starts not responding and I have to close it. It even carries on not responding on the browser version!! I even have the newest version of java.

this could mean a memory leak.

1. Open Run
2. Open %appdata in Run
3. Then open .minecraft
4. Then you will see a folder called bin
5. Delete it.
6. Run Minecraft

and

Open Task Manager
Then go to the Process Tab
Then find javaw.exe
And End Process on it.

How do I stop this? D:< I wanna play Minecraft but I can't at ALL anymore. I tried today and it just, stopped responding straight away.

happens to me too, after i got an hd texture pack *working* (finnaly :l) my game started to lagg then it just went black :l

Have you guys tried updating Java?
Oh and if Java does need to be updated... then it's probably gonna say Bad Video Card Driver. Then you update your vide card driver

Me too.  I open up minecraft, click enter game, and it either goes not responding straight away or it crashes when the mojang logo appears.  Occasionally it loads for long enough for me to enter a world.  I re-installed the minecraft bin and it worked initially, but when I closed the game and re-opened it, the game immediately went not responding again.  I have installed: zombe's mod, and modloader.  The .class files for these mods have been deleted, the only remaining things are in my .minecraft/mods/zombe folder and in my .minecraft/config folder respectively.  Previously, I had also installed too many items, and clay soldier mod V3. Someone help?

I'd start by seeing if it works after a clean install/Force update!

I thought I would try completely uninstalling java and installing it again first.  So far it seems to be working.  I'm pretty sure it was a problem with java.

I'm on the login screen and when I log in it all goes black then it stops responding HELP ME INTERNETS!

Did you run force update on minecraft?


Have you changed/updated anything just before this started happening, like video drivers or a windows update?

Yesterday, Minecraft was working fine.
Today, it gets to the Title Screen and then it stops responding.
The Mojang logo finishes, there's no black screen.
The CPU usage gets ramped up like mad when I use it.
I've reinstalled .minecraft twice. What's going wrong?
