Hi, i was having a problem yesterday which only affected the downloadable client which is still there and i have given up fixing it, and someone told me to delete the .bin folder which i did, it didnt help and now i cant play the in browser game either since i deleted that folder it just gets stuck on this screen

Try deleting the whole .minecraft folder. Backup your saves if you want to keep them.

that worked and i backed up my save but for whatever reason they arent in the game.. :/ its not that big of a deal my save only had about 4hours of play but if anyone knows what i did wrong

i have already tried redownloading the minecraft client but i still have the done loading problem

I created a topic an hour ago or so describing the same problem... I get past this screen, however, but only just. After that loading screen I just get a black screen..

That didn't work for me, I've tried that as well..

It looks like your local Minecraft files are corrupted.
I would suggest deleting the local minecraft files and redownloading them.
To do this follow these steps:

[*:8e10vxix]Open 2 explorer windows (Press Win+E twice)
[*:8e10vxix]With one go to a bacup location where you cant to store your saves
[*:8e10vxix]In the other copy/paste %appdata%\.minecraft (this will take you to the local MineCraft folder)
[*:8e10vxix]Copy the saves folder to the backup location.
[*:8e10vxix]Delete everything in the folder.
[*:8e10vxix]Start mineCraft (on the web or in the client)
[*:8e10vxix]You should normally see that the startup takes a bit longer and that some files are being downloaded to your computer.
[*:8e10vxix]Start a new world to see if you still have problems.
[*:8e10vxix]Delete the new saves directory and copy the old one from your backup directory (Do not simply overwrite, or minecraft will "merge" the two worlds together)
[*:8e10vxix]Close the two explorer windows

can you look at the java console (it should appear in the lower right in your taskbar) I do not think I can help you much further, but others might.

I am very very frustrated with this entire situation i am currently 100% unable to play minecraft and i have tried everything discussed here. Minecraft  is a fantastic game and i enjoy playing it but a no longer can  am i doomed to not play minecraft alpha

can you also try the hash check method I described here if some files are failing your client files are corrupted/missing. I posted all the client files except for minecraft.jar (the main game) later on in that thread. So far it has solved the problems for one person (but not for the others) but it cant hurt to try.

this is bullshit i don't want to be minecraft-less forever!

I've just started having the same problem, just as the game started to perform updates it had an error, sadly I didn't read into it too much other than it said something to the effect  of "error number (4)" so I restarted the application and it came up with the "90%" loaded, but states loading complete, same applies for the web browser. I have as of yet to attempt any real file deletion and re-loading, besides loading again the Minecraft client.

More updates sometime soon...

Hi... like everyone else here. I'm having the same problem. It started on Sunday the 5th. Um... I've had the game for less than a week. I would just like to say this sucks. I paid $13 for a game I can't even play for a week. Seriously?
I've tried everything mentions here, but nothing is working. Please, if there is anything else I could do, I would greatly appreciate it.

You did try deleting the %appdata%/.minecraft/bin and %appdata%/.minecraft/resources folders ?
(Do not delete the saves folder)
