What are you going to do? Start a new world on the XBOne or transfer your main/old world. I'm going to transfer my old world. I had it since the TU5 strickly Survival no dup glitches nothing plus I had a lot of friends help me out on it.
I'll start a fresh new world.
I know better than to fall in love with a huge build and try to keep it going with all the updating going on (or, in this case, a new console).

I may transfer a world to see what goes wrong with it, but I'm not playing Minecraft until the X1 edition comes out. I'm not going to invest my time on 360 without assurances that everything transfers correctly and flawlessly... as well as guarantees that transferred worlds will increase in size on X1.
If I end up getting an XBox one I'll probably transfer my creative world over as I've worked really hard on it in anticipation for Horses to join Xbox (if it actually happens.) My whole build is focused around horse themed buildings (barn with indoor jumping staduim, cross country track, race track, wild west town, medieval jousting arena) I'm a horse rider in real life and I love the idea of having horses in minecraft so I'm excited to think they may come to Xbox some day. If they don't I won't be too upset, I'll just keep riding those pigs
Seeing as how I do not have a 360 anymore, I will be making a new world when I buy the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft. Since it likely isn't coming out until June, I'll be playing Watch_Dogs and other assorted games whilst I wait.
I will more than likely start a new file. I normally start new files after a couple weeks anyways since I get bored playing by myself and the only thing that's kept me playing lately is starting a new file every other week. If I had more friends to play with, I'd probably keep building on my maps, but right now I only have a couple friends who will join my game occasionally, not enough to justify continuing to play on the same map longer than a week or two.
Seriously I don't own the new generation yet, and probably will not for a while. Maybe sometime down the road I will, but at this time I will not be.
If I did own one I would probably just copy my stuff over, after all I have backups for a reason. So transfering them to one and having a copy on my ol' 360 will be the way I would have it just in case. I am one to not trade in consoles.... especially when they are still playable.
as to what was said above:
PC & Console gaming are 2 separate worlds in my opinion. Each has their own advantages & disadvantages. So for the most part I agree with Wolfeuk. There are just some things more you would have to do on some games to get working on the pc. I am one of both worlds, and ambidextrous for the most part(primarily righty, but can do lefty as well, even if out of practice at the moment). I can definitely understand reconfiging the controls for more comfortably in general. To compare pc to console is in a way futile in my opinion. Well the way I see things, since I part take certain games in on each, and sometimes on both.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I will likely start a new world. On my current 360 world I literally have all the diamonds i could ever need and excellent xp farms, along with a huge circular floating island above a jungle biome. Its been about 7 months since I've even touched the 360 edition, and i dont plan on playing minecraft until the xbox one version comes out. I will transfer the world, just to see if the size of it will increase or if there are any ridiculous errors, but most likely I'll start fresh.
I am going to build a wall completely around my world all the way up to the top. Already started it on my world without creative but now i might go into creative. But anyways i am doing this so that when i do transfer i will know when i get to my old world while exploring. And i think it would be neat to see a chunk of land seaperted all by its self like something from outer limits.
If I ever upgrade, I will start a new world on the new system... probably more than one new world. The increased size will probably just mean that more of the world will be untouched when I abandon them for yet another new fresh world. I enjoy this game the most at the start... when I don't have chests full of supplies and enchanted tools and armor. Not having supplies, means I have to work to get "out there" to collect items to bring my build ideas into fruition... and fight the enemies more frequently to do it. Once a world has been developed to large extent, more areas are lit and the encounters with mobs goes down... eventually everything just starts to feel too safe to be a game and building just starts to feel like chore.

I would assume so, but what is to stop someone from building over that sea border that will allow placing blocks?
I find that an interesting way to go about knowing what is new & old. Not something I would do myself, but gives to a somewhat better defining border than land anomalies that would happen probably; similar to when biome shift happens. That is what I would assume would happen. After all it would be like plopping your area down into the world via something like mcedit on the pc.
Of course there still will be some things still to be touched up as some terrain is just too tall to compensate or meld with the wall in that case. Definitely entertaining though to see such, even if gives more work to be done in terraforming the land around it when inserted.

I agree that the deeper into the game you go, the more boring it tends to be. I am a good ways into my new world, but I'm purposely leaving some things for later. I haven't found my stronghold yet, and I'm going to try to stumble onto it while exploring, rather than using endereyes. I put off building my home castle, so I've been using a lodge in my largest village (dug a nice basement for extra chests). But every chest I fill needs to be eventually moved, so it's time to bite the bullet and build the castle.
I read a post a while back by someone who challenges himself to use the things he collects by limiting himself to one double chest for storage. I wouldn't do it, but I respect the player for mixing it up.
Stay fluffy~
