Just stumbled upon your texture pack, and being a humongous Shining Force fan since Darkness was released, I am just in love with your work, "Goddess" Mythra ^^ At last I will be able to re-create the world of Guardiana WITH THE ORIGINAL LOOK of Guardiana ^^ Just friggin' awesome, thank you for the excellent work, and I mean it ;) (And now I won't be ashamed of doing some minecraft videos with MC dressed in Shining armor ^^)

Thank you so much for the high praise. Firstly though, I am a guy, although my name typically gives people the impression that I am female, I think it's the spelling. Secondly, I am a fan of Shining Force as well (obviously) so it is a real joy for me to share this texture pack with other fans of the series. I didn't play much Shining in the Darkness, I mostly watched my cousin play it when it first came out. But I totally obsessed over Shining Force, and I'm so glad you enjoy this texture pack.

If I wrote goddess, it's because Mythra is the so-called Goddess in SF2 ^_^

I'm looking it over, just with a quick Google search, and the only Goddess I see referenced is the Water Goddess Mitula. Is there another that I'm missing? If there is I'd like to know, because I was unaware that she has the same name as I do.

I had originally planned to make a second Shining Force texture pack, one based on SF2. So far I've been drawn to make other texture packs, but I still have all the materials if I ever get around to making one, and can make it different enough from this one to be worth it.

It's because I've played the game in Japanese, there is a slight difference between the japanese and the english name, that's all ^^ And if you do a SF2 texture pack, I'll have quite a hard time to choose between the two!
BTW I'm posting a small video of your texture pack on the server I'm curently playing and I'm starting to re-create the very first town of Shining Force now...

Thank you everyone so much for liking this texture pack. When I started out, I had no idea it would take off in popularity like it has. Getting very near to 30,000 downloads, I'm amazed.

Updated for Beta 1.9 pre-release v4, made compatible with Industrial Craft, Build Craft, and Red Power2, also created a Shining Force font:

Could you please provide links for the earlier versions of the pack?

Thank you for actually doing something with the armor. I'm constantly amazed at how many people do NOTHING with what I consider to be one of the best places for artistic expression. I use a bash pack, but you can bet it'll have some of your work in it. Thanks for working on this!

I'm not sure why you would like to download earlier versions. I have all earlier versions of my texture packs saved on my hard-drive, perhaps if you explain why it is necessary for you to have them I can put up links. As it is, I prefer to take the old ones off of my MediaFire account just for the sake of neatness.

WOW!! Thank you so much, that really means a lot to me. You can count on me keeping this thing updated and whenever I get new ideas I will be adding them. Also, strangely enough, I've been told by multiple people that when they use this texture pack it reduces lag.

Well, this was my first texture pack, and I first posted it back in April. I also have it up for download on Planet Minecraft, and I keep track of the downloads that I get very carefully. So as of now, with 35,653 views on this topic, I am at 30,121 downloads.

Here is an image of the textures using the mod "Connected Textures". Also, a comparison of the dirt with the recently changed gravel texture.

Thank you very, very much.

Updated texture pack for Beta 1.9 version 6, and adjusted water to match the water in Shining Force.

I absolutely LOVE the creeper! Yogurt/Jogurt may only be the useless hamster, but he added a fun touch to the game. I've been I Shining Force fan for as long as I remember and I use the pack all the time, Keep up the great work!

ALSO I think you should make the diamond texture into the same thing texture as on the block, you know the little star-shaped piece
