I've had this server for a few weeks now and I don't know how to get more players. I've advertised here and on planet minecraft but I don't know where else. Help?
Tell all you're friends. This sounds obvious, but seriously.
Ask everyone you know if they play minecraft, and if they do, invite them to you're server!
If you are lucky, they will tell their friends, and they will then tell their friends, and so on. I've run my server this way for almost 2 years, and I still see new players join almost every month with hardly any advertising.
My best advice, is make an original server. It's hard to get players if there are a million servers like yours. I run a survival horror modded server, and I get like 100 new players a day just because it's the only one that's active really.
