Hello and welcome to the Gauntlet Race Map!


Ideally it is a race for two people but can be played as a single player.

RULES

1: 1st person through the finish line wins! There are gold bars along the way, each gold bars will knock 3secs off you overall time. So its worthwhile going for them!

2: You may ONLY break snow blocks (White wool is not snow, and ice blocks are not snow - for those of you that may be tempted to break them ^^)

3: Do not place any blocks (Except buttons, pressure pads or levers)

4: Difficulty should really be on peaceful - it's a very nice map i have here... it would be a shame if something were to happen to it

5: Feel free to take one of the beds in the starting room with you so you can sleep through the nights. If your computer screen is like mine, it's hard to see at night.


Any feed back is greatly appreciated. Even if it's just to say you're going to try it out.

yea thought this was pretty gd actually. recon yogcast should give it a try

best time so far was 5:14 6 gold bars

Well, when I started the map, I appeared near the end, not on the start...

But looks like very decent map so far, the end is pretty cool ^^

Yep you completely right. I've gone back and corrected it. So you will start in starting room from now on.

Ok. I've finished the map with 10 gold, and time: 00:03:20 (3 mins 20 seconds!)

I ran through it like a maniac

EDIT: forgot to say, this is an epic map! This is the first map I have actually seen, that you have to race in! Good hob! And the end is epic!

EDIT 2: 9/10! I was like FUUU Fence maze frustrating! And FUUU I fell off the ice jump part twice.

Thanks a lot bud, i thought making a race map would be original. Glad you enjoyed it! As for the gran finale you wouldn't believe the planning and attention to detail it took.

I took 2:53 and had 10 gold.
I saw the finish from the tracks so I was faster than walking the whole cart system

I don't quite understand what you mean by walking was faster than taking the mine cart?
As for making another map, my computer is becoming increasingly laggy, so I'm afraid that starting a new project is unlikely despite that fact that i would thoroughly enjoy doing it. =(

I did this map for my channel, I got to admit it was a nice change from adventure maps. The ending part was pretty sweet to, the "tribute" area.

Hey man thanks a lot for doing a video for it. I'll add the link to it at the top.

My only thought that was for me it was very dark. Would you be able to do it again in daylight? Perhaps even with two people if you're feeling up to it?

Hey, I tried your map and it was really original, a lot better than most of the maps I've played yet. And the statues are totally better than I did. 9/10 because the ice thing really got me annoyed lol.

Thanks a lot bud. Really appreciate you giving it a try. If you've got how long it took you to complete i'll add it to scoreboard. I thought that ppl would find the jumping bit too easy
