Just and idea that should become a function in mc both for pc and xbox ,yeah ok minecarts work just fine getting villagers from A-B if you don't mind making rails/minecarts etc , for long distance yeah sure but just moving them around trying to get them into a position for a trading setup /or even into a minecrat is a slight pain in the rear end ,also when breaking a minecrat after you have your villager in a desired location they pop out in random places and them they bail and fast, the only time thier pathfinding is super amazing haha, but anyway this could be a great idea ,pigs follow carrots,cows/sheep-wheat,chickens-seeds so maybe just maybe could they follow something anything , emeralds would be the logical thing or even an emerald block if you want to get fancy , haha leave your comments in the comment section below -what do you think? yay or nay?

Actually, I kind of like this idea. I mean, aside from the fact that it makes them seem like greedy schmucks, I wouldn't mind being given some way to control their whereabouts. I hate when they wander off and never come back.
Money is the object being used as a basic exchange item in an economy.
In Minecraft, it is emeralds (with villagers) and diamonds (with players).
In most places of our world, it is printed paper and coins...

*Villager Hurr sound* Ok then, but Mr. Krabs likes paper and metal money, not emeralds.

Hmm... I can see the pros for this in a sense... But I'd rather just make them extinct... Or have little pens for them too and be my trade slaves lol.
Having the potential for them to basically be my personal piggy bank account is appealing that's for sure... But other than that... they're not Abu from Aladdin addicted to gems and jewellery lol.
I would support an easier way to transport villages. However, I don't think this is the way to do it. Villagers may be stupid, buy they aren't that weak willed.
I like the idea of villagers following you if you had an emerald in hand, but not to the edge of the earth maybe they would follow you but only around the village so if you wanted to kidnap one you'd have to set up a cart and rail from the village to where you want them then lure them with an emerald into the cart. Then send them away.
That's true. Villagers won't leave the boundaries of their village. You would still need a fishing rod or minecart to take them out.
Villagers are not animals. BUT...
Maybe if they don't like you (you don't trade with them and physically hurt them) they'll try and steal emeralds from you.
How do you suppose that they "steal" emeralds from you? That seems a little OP.
^^^^ Click it! You know you want to...
They look like Squidwards, not Mr. Krabs.
Lol. They sound like squidward too

If he was a villager in Minecraft, he would want emeralds instead of printed paper and coins.
Mr.Krabs.... he likes money. Emeralds can be sold for money.

So I'm in half and half
No support here, sorry
Lol it's MINECART and rail not "minecraft"

I like the idea. It would be much easier than using a minecart and rail.

I don't think it's needed.. But... whatever.
