Steps I am doing to install mods:

1. Open minecraft bin.
2. Delete Meta-inf
3. Drag Mod loader files into the bin.
4. In this case, weapon's mod: I drag the class files from there into the bin.
5. Open Minecraft, Black screen haunts me.

How can I fix this?

Help.

Mod is viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=229041

It is updated for 1.4.01

Flymod works, but anything that requires modloader does not work.

I have tried and helped through Team viewer, and I get a black screen too..

But, when I do it on my screen with the same steps..

Perfect.

Not for him though.

I've tried to use modlaoder for 3 moths now and it never works. I know how to install mods. I have installed other mods and really, Modloader NEVER WORKS. I've tried some 40 times but i can't seem to get it to work. I've also used an modloader with a gui and put it at the lowest priority and it still doesn't work. I keep searching for a solution and everyone just says READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. I have read them, they are the same for every mod but it doesn't work. When the game blackscreens it does not leave a crash log.

I can use any mod except those who have been made with modloader.

Um..

Balkon does not have a virus with his mod..

I have used it personally on my computer, nothing has gone wrong.

When I helped my friend, thomaspkx, it black screened on his computer..

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Also to above, thomaspkx does not get a crash report either with his black screen.

my mod equipment has been showing a lot of errors when it comes to modloader, i believe that basemod has been screwed up.

I am also having a similar issue like this. All directions followed to the letter and trying new .jar's each time. However, something to note, the PC I run minecraft on is an old XP computer. I recently re-installed the OS on it and I did not have this problem until after I had done that. All drivers, etc. are updated on my computer since the re-install, but I will always get a black screen on modloader. In addition, just like the OP, flymod will work.

I KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF BLACK SCREEN!
1. Move your saves and texture pack folders to your desktop. (So you dont lose everything!)
2. Delete the .minecraft folder
3. Run minecraft. (If you are playing on the launcher, log in and wait until it goes to the title screen!)(Black screen should not come up!)(It will for a few seconds the first time but then it will go to Mojang. So dont worry!)
4. Close minecraft and open the new .minecraft folder
5. When you have opened the .minecraft folrder, replace the saves and texture packs folder with the ones you moved to your desktop.
6. Run minecraft and it will be fixed!:Diamond:

Oh ho ho,
How to:
1. Open minecraft bin.
2. Drag Modloader files into bin
3. Drag Mod files into bin ( e.g. Mo' Creatures, More Creeps and weirdos etc. )
4. Delete Meta.inf

Basically what you have to do is delete meta.inf after installing the mods
Walking the fine line between Jyggalag and Sheogorath.

I'm having the same issues, and this is still ineffective :)
