Hey.

Ive intalled the "OptiFine 1.7.3_HD_MT_G2" but all i get is a black screen... Ive intalled it on a .jar with ToManyItems and Single Player Commands, as well as a 100% clean .jar, with the same result, - black screen...

I would really love to get this mod working since my FPS is rather low, and ive heard so much good about this mod...

Soo... Any ideas on what i may have done wrong?

It seems that you have multiple Java's installed.
Click on the Start button, and click on Control Panel. Then, click on Add/Remove Programs and tell me what Java's do you have. If you have more than one, then uninstall any older ones.

Are you sure you deleted the META-INF? Did you installed it using the default texture pack? The order the mods should be installed is:
- Modloader
- Optifine
- Single Player Commands
- TooManyItems

If you have other mod installed it can be the origin of the problem, better grass have a lot of conflicts with others mods now :(

what is that thingy that happens when you press C? is thee a way to disable it, because i assigned flying to C

Open up the pause screen, then go to options, and then controls.

Optifine does not work for me :(
The mod loads fine but my fps stays the same, if not worse.
Before I had ~15 fps on far
now I have ~7-15 fps on far
all on a clean jar.

I really need optifine cause I run minecraft on my laptop. Oh and if it helps, I have java7 installed.

Any help will be appreciated.

optifine is working like shit for me. using multi-threaded version on a 4 core cpu, making one chunk update including water causes the game to deload 1-4 chunks around it.

No he is just using Java 7 (beta)
Also I have 2 versions of Java installed, no issues. (32bit AND 64bit, latest java6)
Pretty sure you can have 6+7 installed side by side. You just need to specify which java to use. although it is smart enough to choose the newest one.

I think thi sent one of my worlds to oblivion lol. O well i was kinda bored of it anyways :P and with the new biomes in 1.8 i was gona make a new world anyways. I thought for sure i had the map backed up...

Multi-threaded version black screens as soon as the game tries to load the world. Will come back once I try the classic version.

EDIT: Classic Works, but I get a lower framerate on fast. (WTF?)

it only brings up little fps 10-15 20-25 not like yours 25-30 215 :(((((((((((((
graphics card : nvidia geforce 7050/ nforce 620i
ram;4gb usable ram(3.85gb)

If you need a full rundown of settings used, or some other information, I'd be happy to provide it. Anything to get some Anisotropic Filtering going in Minecraft. The shimmers and moiré patterns in even medium-distance textures are evil!

Clean jar with just Optifine installed. I've tried with default textures, and 32px textures, the cloud "bug" happens with both.
SMP compatible additional storage blocks! Hoard your Redstone, Coal, and more, without resorting to a forest of chests!

This is with the Default texture, Yogsbox, MCPatcher2.1, HD Font, Better Grass, Single Player Commands, TooManyItems
Testing was only 1-15 minute per test.

OptiFine lowest settings looking at night sky
HD_G 487 fps
HD_S_G 501 fps
HD_AA_G5 333 fps
HD_MT_G2 498 fps

OptiFine preferred settings looking at night sky
HD_G 256 fps - very slow map loading time
HD_S_G 250 fps - slow map loading time
HD_AA_G5 193 fps - slow map loading time (Anisotropic filtering removes grainy-ness, Antialiasing removes vertical line shimmer @ 2) (PLEASE Include this feature in HD_MT_G2! Using my graphics setting to Override the application setting doesn't do anything on HD_MT_G2 this is a must have!)
HD_MT_G2 250 fps - almost instant map loading time

Would it be possible to port this mod to minecraftforge so there wouldn't be that much conflicts with other mods (especially minecraftforge itself)?
