I've been cranking on this "realistic" zombie pigman for a few weeks now on Twitch. I do about an hour a day so it's still pretty early (got the skeleton in good shape).Mine is looking sorta ripped so far, but I got to wondering how other folks think about the pigmen. Should they be bulky like Gamorrean guards? Or should they be tortured an emaciated?What do you think? If you want, you can tell me in person on http://twitch.tv/verbalprocessing too. I'm normally doing some kind of art from 10:30am Pacific to 12:30pm Pacific.
Another matter I'm still debating. I think I only have time to do a bust or upper body for this round so I'm considering what the base should look like. Thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback. Right now he still looks buff because we're just blocking in the muscles but once that's done I have a lot of control over where things go next.
@Kursze -- I agree about broken and battered without a doubt.
@SVGK -- Hmm, I'm pondering a more "grissley" muscle based on your comment. The tissue is there but it's undernourished.
@Mr_Darko -- We're on the same page. The skeleton I created is very broad.
Oh boy, I think I've gone against consensus here. He will definitely be rotting at some point but I did not make him slender at all. He's got a chubby but powerful build -- something you might see at a local strongman competition. Gonna work on him more starting at about 11:30 Pacific at the link in the signature.
Your pig model looks great! I would give him some gore and half ripped open faces. I (if I had the skill) would open up the skin over the heart so you could see the lungs/heart through the ribs.
Looks EPIC!! I know this deviates from the game, but I think some horns on the head would look pretty cool. And I agree with everybody, he needs to look a bit tortured. Maybe a few scars, a dead eye (or white, cataracts-infested eye), missing flesh in a few places, maybe even a wound that exposes a bit of bone. That would be cool too.
-Edit- Maybe if half his face was missing, that would also be awesome. Also, maybe if you added an side wound close to the ribcage that exposed the body cavity, that would be epic.
i love the athestics of the character of the zombie pigman itself i think it would look very nice needs more muscle mass though have them beefed up if you know what i mean

[Trust in yourself for if you trust in him he well lead you to a path of greatness ]
i would say have them broad, like in the photo, but then to have them mutilated. a lost arm or a chunk of flesh torn away. I think of the Oblivion shivering isles gatekeeper.(http://resource.mmgn...ll/KPXNRY2D.jpg)
Hey guys -- working on the pigman right now over on twitch. You can hit the link in the sig if you're interested. Either way, here's where we're at -- getting the details on the rotten bits and bones.

@VerbalProcessing Very nice indeed.
I know the colors are a bit primitive,but the internal fleash (where you can see the bones) needs a more reddish look.
Nice job thus far! I just thought of something though, and I may have said this previously, but I think it would be REALLY cool if you introduced a kind of carnivorous fungous/skin disease or something that appears to be "eating away" at the pigman. If you look at the original textures, you see a few green pixels that I think represent this or something similar, a parasitic/carnivorous pathogen (big word for "disease") kind of deal.
Just spitballing, as usual. Keep up the good work!
