Enchanting in Minecraft, while useful, requires you to constantly carry around those items you've enchanted. This mod seeks to make that less of an issue by providing magical rings for you to pour the magical powers of enchanting into
Pictures speak a thousand words, so this video should do more explaining than I'm able to at the moment. Example Video
I also highly recommend you read the documentation listed below, as it explains all the aspects of this mod.
You just made the ability to have Unbreaking on a Fist
(Now my fist will never break!)
Suggestion:
A bag with the ability to add "fingers"?
Basically a bag to hold your rings and can be upgraded by adding fingers (Maybe from witches?)
Out of curiousity, how will modded enchantments work?
Hells yeah! (Well, at the moment Unbreaking doesn't even work Not sure how I'm gonna implement that yet)
Certainly possible, would make sense actually
Unfortunately they'll have to be accounted for specially, as in either the mod author will have to submit a PR, or I'll have to guess as to how it works and code it out.
Nice mod, really cool looking models, but ...
Infinite fortune III ? Efficiency V and unbreaking III ? Wuuuut ?
I'm not saying this is op, as I can't help you figuring out another way to make this. Oh wait, I can !
I think you may add another item, like magic glasses, and when you want to apply one enchant to a ring, there's a xp cost which will appear above the book. You can only see this xp cost if you're wearing the glasses (a little like the printing station from Bibliocraft), and for the biggest enchant it can go up to lvl 69 60.
This doesn't make sense to me. The player already uses XP to place the enchantment on a book, why would they be required to use more? The player can't just choose to have sharpness V for example, it needs to be randomly acquired. Also, the rings currently take damage and are used up when drained, unlike an enchanted sword which can be repaired.
While I agree it is slightly more powerful than other methods of enchanting, I think it's sitting right where it should be in terms of balance.

So there is currently no way to replenish the durability?
Before doing a mod review, you need to be sure you have all the information. Saying things like "I don't think there are recipes" is no good. There is documentation for the mod in the main post, or found here.
Also, while shaders and a wonderful visual experience, you should know that they can sometimes interfere with rendering. What you failed to see in your video is something dmillerw put time and effort into: rendering the ring on the book and then having it floating in the remnants of the books ashes. Sublte, but effective.

It appears as though you are releasing a new mod without any logos or branding.
I can help you with that!
Great job on the mod.

Not at the moment, no

I'd like to ask some modders to implement their enchantments.

Seems like it would go well with your mod.
Hey DM, I was wondering if you would consider making additional jewelry to go with this mod.

Be good to have 1 ring with FortuneIII, EfficiencyV & UnbreakingIV, also save slots.

help!!
I would love to try out this mod; it looks great.
All around me are familiar faces...
Great! Could you add baubles compatibility so that you had to equip the ring in the baubles inventory
