Minecraft not compatible with Windows 7?

When I try to play, it's doing the minecraft title thing(like when you're on the forum on the upper left corner of the screen) and some text below that(I'm not sure what, it's only there for a half a second) and then just a black screen. I can hear the sounds, but just a black screen. My java console gave me this:

User home directory(I removed this for privacy reasons)

ummm   ur pc could be stuffed or u need to rerun the system exe file in the driver

Try updating Java, latest version is Java version 6.24

Minecraft works fine on 7 Ultimate X64 for me

Have you updated your graphics card drivers? It gives the exact same error at my university computers, and it's driver related.
