You were on a relaxing flight back home from a long needed vacation. As you're snoozing in your seat, a loud noise jolts you from your slumber. You hear people screaming and see flight crew running around the cabin trying to figure out what went wrong. As you look out your window, you see the engine, or what's left of it, engulfed in flames. The aircraft takes a sharp pitch forward. The sudden realization hits you: We're going down....

The next thing you know, you awake to find yourself lying on a beach. You look behind you and see what's left of the airplane sitting in the water. You see no other survivors around you.

This is the modern age. Someone knows the plane went down and will be looking for you. You have to get to a good rescue spot. Perhaps there's one on the other side of the island!

As you glance at your surroundings, you notice torches placed in the ground. Perhaps they lead somewhere.

Welcome to "The Rescue"

This is a short adventure map I've been working on. It's not TOO short, I don't think. I got about 15 Minutes of Play on it, having died once.. (Stupid Creepers) and I know where everything is. I hope you guys enjoy it. Let me know what you think. It's not TOO difficult. This is the second map I've put out, the first one being a sort of test. This is my first serious map.

The Rules
No Cheating (Invedit, SPC, etc)
Play on at LEAST Easy. Anything above Normal WILL be a challenge.
Do not break any blocks/items EXCEPT: White Wool, Brown Wool, Clay, Glass and Paintings.
Do not take any torches you did not place yourself.
Items in chests are yours to keep and use. Look for the hidden chests with diamonds in them. I won't tell you how many there are, but it's over 15 and under 20.
Read ALL SIGNS Carefully and heed what they say.

I didn't want to post too many, as the map is very short. I didn't want to give anything away.

Ok, just finished. The map was great, I was really scared when i got a little further, and i got so scared that i changed to peaceful when i came to the 3 forks in the path, and once i chose the further right one, i changed to peaceful, lol this make any sense oh and my final amount of diamond was 13

13 is a tad low. You missed a few.

In "the Great City", check the walls of the cave near the signs that say "Maybe I should search this area carefully". You will see a sign on the wall

i feel like i may have cheated although i didn't mean to...

at the church, near the beginning, i couldn't figure out "the path forward is the path from where you came" so i ended up walking backwards to where i came from and jumped what seemed like a naturally formed barrier...and ended up at the great city (.__.)" i just kept going from there

Just went through it, ended up with 12 diamonds so I obviously missed a few.

1 small point, there was no way to go back to the chest where it was advised to put all your stuff away. Kinda annoying since I got the right door the first time and couldn't get back to my diamonds and torches.

Fairly ingenious for a small map though, especially the 'let the darkness help you' part.

Hmm...I'll have to look into that... That's weird.

When it says "Sometimes the way forward is the way back" Just turn around. Pay attention to the walls.

Ah. That chest is really only for those 3 doors. Since 2 of them are trapped, I thought it kind to put a spot where you can ditch your items before attempting it, IN CASE you die.
Then if you figure out the right door, you turn around and grab them.
I probably shoulda put a little better explanation.
