I can't find any wolves whatsoever. So now I'm just waiting for a mod to spawn mobs. None out yet but CreeperDaReeper does have a life of his own.

You can only find them in certain biomes, I believe -- which can sometimes be tricky to figure out. I'm pleased, though, it creates a more effective use for forest biomes.

They spawn in taiga and forest biomes, but they are somewhat rare.
You can tame them with bones, and heal them (Once you tamed them) with bacon (Yes I call it bacon).
They do not despawn once tamed.

There is a little trick to finding them. Try looking for random sheep wool on the ground, that's a sign that wolves are nearby. Also, if all else fails, try swimming away to another island with lots, and i mean LOTS, of trees. There should be wolves there. I already found three, I only tamed two though, I had only two bones.
I am a brony. Problem?

A well forested area should get you a wolf.
(Taiga,Forest)
I have had 3 wolves in my minecraft history.
