Hey Jig , first time seeing a map of yours , and from what I saw its amazing I want to ask a question , can I use the maze generator for a map I want to build( Ill give you credit for the randomized map generator) but I wont make it public. Thank you for reading and have a nice day
Sure, if you finish it send it to me I'd love to take a look at what else people can come up with for the tech.
I would like to tell you that I have proved to be successful at making it a randomizer , and it works great! Goes around in a circle spawning rooms , all I need to do now is remove the "main game" aka Command blocks spaening crystals and stff like that Thanks for reading
There's a new datatag in snapshot that lets you 'lock' a chest so that it can only be opened by holding an item with a specific name. In this case, 'Key'.
Just beat the map and loved every minute of it. One thing though is there a use for the juggler's balls. I horded them but didn't find a use for them. Is it a secret or just no use yet?

I liked the map, but I would suggest having different versions of seekers.
There are 3, each one has a different sword. I am considering adding more bits of armor for each one perhaps, but that would obviously make them harder to kill which I don't exactly want to do just yet. I think I would rather add more rooms first.
This is the best single player adventure I've played in MineCraft yet.
But it isn't so good with the multiplayer... The spell books teleport all players to the code written in the book... It would be awesome if you could use the scoreboard to tag the player who typed in the book and only teleport them to the spot specified.
If that is not a feature you want in the map; could you give me your best guess on how it could be done?
How did you acheive making the rooms appear in a random order? I downloaded the place but I'm having toruble making sense of it, so many command blocks! haha.
Amazing map, thanks for the fun.
EDIT: Nevermind I just watched behind the scenes video

Again; super fun map!!!
To be honest I'm not sure I can think of a good way to do it. It was never intended to be a teleporting mechanic though until later in development though which is why it uses @a though. In anycase thanks for the feedback, I will think about it but I'm not too sure what I can do about that.

Well actually, I can think of a way to do it, but it's extremely complicated and I didn't think of it myself. I forget the name, but someone on Crit.Map (DDR I think) came up with a method that would work for this. He uses it for wool. I'd ask him for you, but you're in the group now, so I don't have to.

Thanks for the reply Jigarbov and to you too qwertyuiopthepie
I am continuing my search and have experimented with detecting the signing of books (writable_book) through ScoreBoard. My hope was that signing a book would count as crafting a written book / or count as using a writable_book.
<Command Blocks>
/testfor @a[score_UsedWritableBook =1,score_UsedWritableBook _min=1]
/clear @a[score_UsedWritableBook =1,score_UsedWritableBook _min=1] minecraft:writable_book 0 0 {pages:["Home"]}
/tp @a[score_UsedWritableBook =1,score_UsedWritableBook _min=1] x y z
/scoreboard players set @a[score_UsedWritableBook=1,score_UsedWritableBook_min=1] UsedWritableBook 0
/blockdata x.5 y.5 z.5 {SuccessCount:0}
^ x y z equals the coordinates of the first command block with the /testfor command
If you have any tips please let me know, right now using a writable book doesn't change its scoreboard stat...
I am hopeful that today's snapshot might have new code to help.
(qwertyuiopthepie; I searched for the person you mentioned in your post, but I had no luck finding their solution. What is the complected way of doing this that you thought of? If I might be so bold as to ask...?
Quote me if you want a reply, and please click that little if I helped you out.

That's what hardmode is for Night falls, monsters spawn, it's significantly harder.
Sure, if you finish it send it to me I'd love to take a look at what else people can come up with for the tech.
You could just change the rooms that spawn
