I would also love for a 24/7 daytime mod to be made. If I knew where to start I would.

It's not about being afraid of the dark, it's about trying to build something then it becomes dark and torches become a necessity.

you can try using the cheat engine on stopping the day/night cycle by freezing the time variable

there's also the slightly easier and more tedious way of using MineEdit to change the day every time it reaches night

My eyes start to hurt when it's dark and I try to build stuff without using torches. Even with torches it's annoying since they do not provide that much light, so I have to wait for daytime. There should be a more powerful light source that needs coal for example.

Cheat engine can't locate and freeze game files.
And NBTedit it better for this task (since it's lighter and easier to use)

it can but you need skill of pointers and tracking the variable down, i did it once but it was a pain to keep doing it every time i launch the client again

here's a tip for those who can do this.
before launching the game turn your monitor brightness up so once night time rolls around you can see with out torches and you still able to see.

ive noticed that loleditor has a daytime 'thing'? which has a number, try putting that into cheat engine and see what happens (as the number changes as you play -- obviously)
