I picked up a server a couple of weeks ago from MinecraftGSP / Kerplunc gaming and it was running fine, but I have not been able to reach the server for almost 24 hours (that I know of). I opened a ticked right after I discovered the server was unreachable yesterday during their day (the servers are in US as am I), but I have heard nothing beyond an automated response telling me the ticket was entered.

Edit 1: I still cannot reach the server and we are in day 2 of downtime. Still no response from their support folks. Attempted to email the "contact us" email address just opened another ticket - and at medium priority rather than high!  :SSSS:

Do NOT go with MinecraftGSP / Kerplunc gaming for a server. I will have to start the chargeback process to get my money back and I am going to lose a couple of days worth of player work. Good thing I had pulled a backup a few days ago!

Edit 2: For those who are apparently hoping to get me to switch, I should let you know that I am in the US. and am looking for something "local".

Edit 3: Now up to nearly a week with no server and no reply from Kerplunc. They are a rip off, do not use them!

Sounds pretty ridiculous. If you decide to switch hosts or something then feel free to check out hAvox Hosting.

I've heard some rumours about those guys, sounds like it's pretty much time to switch host. Check us out in my signature, we're the world's largest minecraft host and have been trading for 11 years, so we're not going anywhere!

Thanks for the pointers to other services, but I am in the US and was hoping for something more local.

The reason for my post was to see if this is a sudden problem with Kerplunc such as a datacenter has gone down, or if it is just that now that they have my money, they have shut down my server. Seems to be the latter case, tbh  :SSSS:

Time to start the chargeback procedure and see if I can find a reliable host in the US.

As you want a US server, I recommend Minecraftserverhost.net (viewtopic.php?f=1027&t=123467) . They have a lot of positive reviews and seem to provide quality services.

Good luck with your search!

Feel free to check out our services as we offer 2 U.S locations and can almost guarantee a response time of less than 24 hours. If you have any questions about our services feel free to PM me at any time.

It is now a week without my server and with no reply from Kerplunc gaming.  :Notch:

I have begun the process of charging back my first qtr fee (thankfully I did not pay for a great deal of time up front!).

I urge anyone looking for a server to look elsewhere than Minecraftgsp or any other seller for kerplunc gaming.

I'm sort of in the same boat (shame there's no icon for a boat) response-wise. I signed up 4 days ago. They are telling people it's a 3 day wait time for server provisioning due to "high volume", but I suspect something else more dire may be involved. I have had no response from their support whatsoever. I found your post as I was hunting for alternatives, and I'm glad I did. I shall be looking elsewhere.

Well, I wish I could have gotten the warning out earlier, for your sake. Tell them you are cancelling, and after the supposed "refund" time has been reached, you will likely have to contact your credit card company (or paypal) and start the process of contesting the charge once they do not get back in touch with you.

Hopefully some others will read the warning and saves themselves my trouble.  :SSSS:
