In your save folder you should have a Region folder, a level.dat file, a level.dat_old file and a session.lock file...do you have all 4?
Give an internet if I helped you. :D

It won't let me attach the file... (yes I copied and made a compressed file) but if it helps, my mods used were:
IndustrialCraft v2.85
TooManyItems
Modloader v5 with Grass Fix

I found a solution to this. Create a new world and then copy/paste the files of the world you want to play on into the new world. Rename it whatever you please and wahlah!

None of these things worked for me, does anybody know hoe to get my world back. If it helps, what happened was I was trying to take a screenshot of my house and then the world froze, I couldn't move the mouse or anything. When i restarted the computer the world won't show up.

Alright I've been thinking. When Life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these! Demand to see Life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am?!I'm the man who's going to burn your house down! With the Lemons! I'm going to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon, that burns your house down!

It's most likely a spawn point failure.
My computer crashed earlier and I had the same problem.
After that I just went into MCEdit and saw that my spawn point was under water, inside the ground for some reason??
Just change the location of your character and also the spawn point. After doing that everything works well, but there's a strange glitch. When I load the world from the menu, it just shows that the file size is 0.0 MB, which is weird, since it's actually around 36 MB.

You saved my world. Thank you. I was starting to get frustrated. None the less when my comp crashed it moved my spawn to about bedrock level surrounded by rock so i couldnt start.

i found a way all you have to do is open minecraft and go to texturepacks, open folder to view texturepacks (at the bottom) then go to .minecraft on that and put the world in and go back to texture pack and press done it should work
