EDIT - Also, where can I change the smoke texture in a texture pack? I saw in one texture pack where the texture pack was changed to swirls, where will I find the file for that?

you change the resolution by doubling the size of the terrain.png(amongst others) it's always going to be x2.. so 16x is 256..x2 is 512 and so on
I was just skimming, I came along this. Although here is the answer, although I don't really get it. (Sorry I am somewhat of newbie here...) So 16x16 is the defualt, and if you want 32x32 you just expand it? Although how would you go about that? Like by not making strangely awkward coloured blocks... XD

ok... the size of the terrain.png for default 16x16 is 256x256..32x32 is 512x512.. when you resize it you are going to have to edit the textures most of the time as changing resolution( especially with 16x textures) doesn't work well. You can't add resolution to them by expanding them. it just changes the "resolution" of the terrain..not the textures in it. make more sense?

Re-size the original before you start. Then work from individual textures and add to the re-sized template. I have all of them up to 256x256 stored in a folder on my desktop. Start with whichever resolution I want to do, and save as the name of the pack I'm doing (so as not to over write the original).
I also save each texture "block" I do as it's own file so I can add and subtract them as I go.

Where can I get HD texture patcher, so I can mod moving textures? And what do you mean by "Resolution"

Whoops.

Here: http://www.minecraft...f=1021&t=252531
And "resolution" is just whether it's 16x16, 32x32 (and so on) textures

No, you do not want to right click the folder to zip it. That's how come people get the issue where the pack is "grayed out" in the game and won't load.
You want to select all of the files within the folder, and add them to a .zip archive.

Hey.
How do I edit the top of the grassy blocks? I can't find a texture for it anywhere. I have seen it edited beyond colors, so how do I do it?

nope.. but if you are up to making 2 block textures that are the top/bottom half of the door, you could use the piston mod(with it textured to match walls) to get that effect by putting sticky pistons on top of each other with the "door blocks" stuck to them and powering them with a button/lever/pressure plate. best solution I can think of atm

The adding of a [remix] tag for remix pack should also be added to the OP. As it seems to be the popular opinion that it should be added, referring to the "Solution to remix packs" thread of course.
