A question that kept going around in my mind.
If there isn't an option in the poll, post it here.

I play on peaceful, because I am terribly scared that a Creeper will sneak up on me.

EDIT: And I have Arachnophobia D:

I do but not for any of the reasons listed. I have occasional frame rate issues. Dropping from about 35 to 1 and I find it unfair that I often seem to be dead after this happens. So I now play on peaceful

Look it's big red text!
Now that being said. Ponies.

On the world I use inventory editors on, if I can't be bothered with mobs, If I have low health (Unlike cheating to get the items back, playing on peaceful isn't.), If I fall in lava (negates the fire damage.), if I want to build without mobs, and more.

I usually play on normal.

I play on peaceful because hostile mobs get annoying.

Noob post.

Anyway, it's because I put it on after the Halloween update because I had to but when mob spawning was put back the way it was my base wasn't ready to keep mobs out anymore. Understandable amirite?

This thread is full of people that tell other people how to play the game.
your not a noob for getting annoyed by mobs.
YOU CAN PLAY THE GAME LIKE YOU WANT.

and yes, i do play on peacefull, for mobs in general.
actually because i did never get out of my house at night, or explore the dark cave over there.
i tought: 'if i dont confront the mobs anyway, why should i play on normal then?'

Before I got Beta (Alpha then), I played Classic for about 4 months. The building aspect got me into the mindset of a builder, not a survivor. So, when I got Beta (Alpha) 20 mobs outside my door got me on peaceful in a heartbeat.

I do have two worlds. My main world, which I play on peaceful, and my Survival world which I play on hard.

This man is correct. Minecraft is a sandbox game. Play it anyway you want. That's one of the best features of Minecraft.

Astonishing theory, professor!

This basically sums it up. I'm often too scared to go outside or explore caves much at all, so I rarely even meet any mobs.

This thread is so people can tell other people WHY they play on peaceful. Not how you should play it :D

Astonishing theory professor! :SSSS:

I play on peaceful to build. I like to change the difficulty when going into my mine, and more recently I have been trying to get bones for the wolf update. The only dungeon I ever went into that wasn't on peaceful was a double-zombie-spider dungeon. I didn't die, which was good.

I only put the game on peacefull when i am riding my horse around and a bear or lion starts attacking it. I don't want to lose my black pegasus!  :Skeleton:
My youtube account is called MisterMineAndCraft, don't look at it though because it is currently infested by creepers!

I only play on peaceful when I am collecting lightstone in the nether.

My reasons are quite obvious.
