The game has potential for certain.
A background is one thing to look into as a start, and maybe adding in the three other Overworld ores.
One thing you could do is make each new worker cost more than the previous.
The formula Cookie Clicked used for it is (Base * 1.15^x), x = Total of that type owned.
So Steve 1 would be $3,000, Steve 2 would be $3,450, Steve 3 would be $3,968 (rounded), and so on.
This would slow down getting an income faster than you can spend.

I really like that idea about the purchasing costs. I'll probably end up trying out that formula. And I'll be sure to add in more ores, but the hardest part is trying to determine how much they are worth, etc.
As for the background idea, I've been meaning to try and get a better background. But I'll probably have to get someone else to help me out with that.
I wonder what everyone's high scores are so far? I've only had it running for about 3 hours now, and I've got over 10k dedicated miners, lol...
lol 100k now, and getting bored of it... i've been coming back and spending all the money after each episode of an anime i'm watching it's taking longer and longer each time, though... i'm using a macro to click faster, of course.
I got roughly a million bucks per second income... if only that were true irl, lol...

ok, i'm just over 200k dedicated miners now, and I can very clearly see my money going up while spamming my macro, which is clicking at around 100 clicks per second, so I guess that's that... lol... can't wait to see how different it is tomorrow...
You keep telling us the DM count, but are you using the experienced miners? They are significantly more efficient, both price and time-wise compared to the DMs.

hah, i never refreshed the page, lol... now i'm using them, though... sold the other ones, and bought 175k of the new ones before my finger started to hurt ...getting like 9 million per second now haha...
Also, two ideas:
1. Have a link back to this thread for funsies.
2.Maybe be able to buy torches to reduce the zombie chance, just until we can afford the golem.
Another thing I noticed is the workers page moves with the ores above.
It's not too big of a deal, but I've found myself about to click something and then the auto-sell would cause the page size to change and make me miss.
One thing that would be good to add is more visibility. Perhaps a $/second figure on each different worker type that you have? Perhaps a $/second figure that the player has made by mining/auto-mining? And an overall $/second rate?
Would help. Also, upgrades for each individual miner type would make the game more interesting. There needs to be more goals - games like these are entirely goal-oriented, so upgrades and achievements help a lot. If helps even more if you can get some decent graphics and cause the upgrades to change the visuals a bit.

I was thinking about the ability to buy "soldiers" to ward off the zombie or other bosses.

Gah! I will have a fix for this. This is something that also annoys me hah.

I'll add $/second soon (possibly overall & workers), it would be a nice little statistic for everyone to see/share. More goals and upgrades are definitely planned. Just getting some other stuff sorted out.
And as for graphics, I'm not really a graphics guy. But I'll probably be able to find a friend to help me out on that.
Like a little button next to the pick image.
Also, how would it be an annoyance?
It doesn't mesh well with the autopilot-centred gameplay. It requires you to do more work for the same amount of output. Instead of repairing the pickaxe, you could have the pickaxe randomly pick up an enchantment that made it mine faster (you would have to click the button to apply it) - this would reward people instead of punish people, making the game more enjoyable.

For now, it's late, and I'm off to bed.

Wh-...what. o.O
Anyone can cheat in this type of game, but I'll add in a fix for it anyways. Thanks.

I don't know, some more uses for money would be nice.
That would be an annoyance, unless you implemented features to auto-repair/replace picks, or at least prevent damage (via enchantments?).
