Abandoned Realm is a series of Ctm (Complete the Monument) maps that give the player a unique and fun journey, With custom mobs, Custom loot, And unique areas with different gameplay mechanics.
Abandoned Realm is my take on Ctm maps. As an avid Ctm player myself, I became just as interested as making and creating dungeons as conquering them, Which lead me to start making this map series.
1. Find and complete the Wool Monument. 2. You may not craft wool for Wool Monument Uses, It must be found in "Fleecey Boxes". 3. Iron, Gold, And Diamond blocks is allowed to be crafted for the Wool Monument. 4. Use at least easy never peaceful (Although I balance all of my maps around normal). 5. Stay in the boundaries of the map, Never leave them. 6. Survive in any way possible, Break blocks, Craft, Farm, Etc. 7. Wool crafted from spider string, And harvested from sheep may be used for beds and decor. 8. You may not pick up, Craft, Or move Ender chests.
Abandoned Realm is a large map that is most like Super Hostile: Legendary, It start's easy and as you progress through the map it gets more difficult. This map keeps gameplay balanced and looks aesthetically pleasing. It features many unique and custom monsters and loot.
OoooOOoo. I love the structures, especially how really neat and tidy they look, with some grit, but it feels...like it has sharp corners? Not sure how to describe what I see, but I like it. The one thing I don't like is the lack of block variation in the environment. Definitely looks cool, following!

The block variation gets better, these pics are from Intersection 1, the map still has a long way to go. But Thx
Good to see you're working on a minimap. Try to get it out first, it's a lot easier when you've already made mistakes on something small, instead of a gigantic 16-wool map. Or at least that's the route I'm going. Love the screenies from that, though.
Note that my play-style is very tunnel-rat-y, and I'm generally a pretty careful player, so perhaps take the feedback with a grain of salt.
Thoughts:
SCORCHED START: It's very good, and also very nice looking (I don't say that much, but it is). It's a little harder than most starting areas, but that's okay because you give loot to deal with it (notably a stone sword and a bow).
OVERGROWN DARKNESS: I thought that the overgrown darkness was the hardest area in the map just because of the thorn guys. Taking one on in full leather armor took me down a great deal in health. I died in this area by far the most. I'm not saying that it's bad (I think it's fun and challenging), but if you want to make an easier area, maybe consider lowering the thorns level. Also, you might want to move some of the spawners that are in the ceiling, because they frequently spawn in the ceiling and suffocate. Overall, I found it quite fun! BTW, I'm not sure I would give out something like the Titan plate that early .
BREWING OUTPOST: I finished this area in just a few minutes. I have a philosophy to always attack things from above if possible, so I bridged up and over to the second level of the first building. That led straight to the room on the right, which led straight to the wool. The room with the creepers was a little underwhelming - was there something I missed? Was there TNT in the gravel or something? After I got the wool, I went back and explored the rest of it. Overall, I think that the area is on the easy side, and you can safely buff it - the only danger is being knocked into lava on one of the paths connecting the rooms (as I did). Perhaps try adding some witches? It would fit with the theme.
THE SKYREACH: I've played both Amlup's and Vechs' jump boost areas, and they just don't do it for me, so I might not be the right person to review this area. Personally, they don't seem to fit the CTM genre well - having the guts to jump around with all of your equipment just seems to risky for my playstyle at least. I beat the area by tunneling and bridging over to the wool, bridging over the tower of pain, and dropping TNT. I then tunneled and bridged over to the top of the tower that leads to the black wool. I did go onto one platform to get the chest with ender pearls, and I ended up dying from jumping and taking fall damage, so... bleah.
BLACK WOOL (Does it have a name? Didn't see?): I loved the Amlup guys, they are fun to fight. The area is a bit on the easy side, so maybe make them Zombie Pigmen. The biggest problem for me in this area was the silverfish apocalypse caused by a blaze shooting the bookshelves igniting TNT in one room. I kind of bypassed the second half with the bookshelves without realizing it. I assumed that the wool was in the back, so I just dug straight through the bookshelves and placed blocks above me.
OVERALL: Overall, I had a lot of fun playing the map! It's a bit on the easy side, but there were enough difficulty spikes here and there to keep me engaged! I really liked the loot that you gave out, and I especially love the loot that modifies knockback resist, max health, speed, etc. I loved the eagles eye (but up it to -100% speed) and the running boots! Not sure if this is intended BTW, but the running boots give you the boost when you just hold them in your hand, even if they aren't equipped! I thought that the loot balance was pretty good, especially early on in the map (with the exception of that Titan plate). There are some larger-scale things that confuse me. Why is the map linear-branching if you want me to do the wools in order (it should just be linear). Also, you don't need "Intersection 01" if there is only one intersection. I also noticed that we don't really need the ender chest in the base, because I didn't find any others anywhere else. But overall, well done! I had a lot of fun. It might actually be worth expanding this to a full CTM - It feels somewhat like a miniCTM and more like a full-size CTM cut short.
I had 8 deaths in the map.
--> 1 by creeper spawning in my face (near white wool)
--> 1 by getting pushed into lava by a zombie, jumping out, using a regen potion, and STILL burning to death (brewing outpost)
--> 1 by just jumping and landing (skyreach - dangit jump boost)
--> 5 by being hurt by/trying to hurt the skeletons with thorns (overgrown darkness)
Note that my play-style is very tunnel-rat-y, and I'm generally a pretty careful player, so perhaps take the feedback with a grain of salt.

Thank you so much for the feedback, I am working on fixing all those problems
One other suggestion now that I am looking back at the screenshot -
Maybe change the colors of the wools. I know that you just kind of averaged the wools that are in a normal CTM map, but the colors are all basically very dull colors or grey shades except for yellow. Makes for a kind of ugly monument. Maybe do bright colors instead, something like White, Yellow, Blue, Red, Black?
Also, I played this in 1.7.2 - not sure if you wanted 1.6 or 1.7. You should indicate.
My friend and I just played for about 3 hours on the map. fun map so far. We turn on a deathcounter above our heads and a total kill counter on the right side. We are playing the map without tunneling so our deaths are a higher then eable2. I'll post a video once i get done editing.
