I have no idea why but i would like to find out why my Minecraft keeps crashing each time i play.

Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

Agreed, lack on information on the forum. Mod should make a sticky about this bug that keep crashing the game. I have been plagued with this bug since i purchased the game almost a month ago, patiently waiting.

Any more information about what exactly happens when the crash occurs ?
Is it a hang ? bluescren ? do you get an error message ?

i have the same problems mine just freezes for about 10 sec then unexpectedly quits then when i come back it has not saved what i have done.

I have the same problem. I get on minecraft go on to multiplayer then 5 seconds later it crashes over and over again

mine is even worse every 2 minutes it will crash and i will lose all my stuff

i've been recently experiencing the same problem.  i'll be playing and then my screen will freeze for a few seconds, go black, then the game will shut just shut down completely, and i have to go and log back in each time.  but when ever i do log back everything i collected and worked on doesnt save like it should when i exit out, so i always end up starting over.

this happens at random times during the game, no matter what i'm doing.  sometimes its when i'm mining, sometimes its when i try to change the visibility, one time it happened when i was trying to get into my inventory, and others when i was walking or even just standing still looking around.  and the amount of time between crashes varies as well.  usually it lets me play for about 5 min before it crashes and others it can be as short of a time span as 2 min.

before when it would crash the game would give me a long error message describing what had gone wrong.  i then found out it was a problem with my java and that it needed updated.  i was able to install the newest update, and after that is when it just started randomly blacking out and crashing.  i'm not sure if the two are related but i figure the more information the better that way the problem can be resolved.

hopefully the problem is just due to too many ppl playing at once and the system cant handle it, but you never know.

I am running win 7, amd athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core Processor tk-57, 1.87 gigs of ram, and a nivdia geforce go 7150m graphics card. And i am having the same problem as ariel1312 and Icksel.

It crashes for me too.It loads one bar the says "simulating world" or something like that for a few seconds then it crashes.

I have posted in a few threads, and im gonna bump this one as well. This is a VERY common problem.

It cannot read the filename of the image. The path might not be correct or there is somekind of option not set correctly. It seems like a simple enough problem, yet nobody, not even moderators or creators of this game seem to be able to solve this or lead victms to the appropiate sollution.

BUMP FOR JUSTICE some java-expret must be able to correct this problem!

basicly every time i try to pick a world its crashing but i did just download some mods and im shitting it because i think i may have fucked my minecraft anyone got any ideas or is it the fact that the site is just down aswell

Jackt - I don't think it's anything you did.  I just downloaded the game for the first time last night and am having the same problem, I don't have any mods or anything.  I get the same error as Lapti.

That is not the same problem. It's actually completely different.

To solve the input==null error, in my case i had to make a new user (windows) without an "!" or space in my name, Java doesnt like that.
