I believe there are no 1.7.2 bukkit downloads currently. But I would see one coming soon in the near future.

It takes a while to update bukkit, MCP and bukkit plugins not the least. Also, be careful with the earliest builds, or this could happen. (I hope I got the right link)

ChatLog is a mod updated for Minecraft 1.7.8.

Bukkit usually isn't developed for almost a good week after releases. At least any good build isn't.

My server is probably going to sit on 1.6.2 for another month. We don't mind though since we are going over some major infrastructure changes for a better AdminShop and such. It gives up a good time to rebuild and improve before the change.

They frown on talking about the bukkit server here.  Seeing as they don't directly support it and all.

I've seen dev builds for bukkit come out the same day as an update, but recently it has taken them quite a lot longer.

So sometime between right now and next week they might have a development build out, couple weeks to a month before a beta build (typically a good solid build that is mostly bug free), and way down the road (for some reason it seems the night before Mojang releases a new update) they get out a recommended build.

I've used all three successfully, but most people will not touch a development build.

Any case to save your worlds.  Save your wolds elsewhere before setting up your bukkit.

There isn't a 1.7.2 build for bukkit yet (Not even a dev one) and the official release time for a 1.7.2 build is when it's done.

Based on the massive amount of stuff that changed in the code this go round, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to get it out.  You will be better off either running a white listed vanilla server or just linking your players to a how-to on setting up a 1.6.4 profile in the launcher.
Tis far better to be a witty fool than a foolish wit.

Not true, we love bukkit as much as vanilla servers.
the no bukkit rule thingy is related to the actual coding/making of plugins for bukkit, we feel the bukkit forums are a better place to get help for issues for that, but setting up plugins on your server is welcome here :)

As for when bukkit will update, it will be ready when its ready, most of the guys working on it do it in their free time (i think) so don't rush them, this also goes for mods.

You can try out SpigotMC's version of  1.7.2, it's basically CraftBukkit, because it supports plugins, however, it uses 1.6.4's API, so you cannot place SOME of the new blocks.

Check out the build here...

It will take a while this time, they chanced a lot with the servers.
Here is a link where you can see al the builds:
http://dl.bukkit.org...ds/craftbukkit/
I use that link a lot, it is very handy. As soon as they make 1.7.2, it will be on that list.
Now it is just waiting... May take like 5 days after the update this time.

From spigots homepage, use with extreme care

Due to community demand we have released a 1.7 compatible version of Spigot. This can be found here. Please note that this version comes with no warranty, express or implied, and is completely unsupported

There is no craftbukkit 1.7.2. Bukkit has stated that they have no support with any builds using 1.7.2.

I am also looking for 1.7.2 craftbukkit as I am going to put my server on a host and there aren't any hosts that do 1.7.2 servers (as far as I'm aware). I am releasing a kit PvP server (Tidal Kits), a factions server (BloodMonia) and A all round server creative, survival, factions, skyblock etc.

I hope they release it soon because it has been a few weeks!

If anyone knows how to change the version of your server without updating craftbukkit please tell me.

Thanks
