SUPER MARIO BROS. (v0.5)

I was looking through the textures and found a few different Super Mario themed texture packs. I thought old  Mario sprites just looked to awesome and natural in Minecraft!

Issue was I  could not find a full texture pack... so after some browsing I learned making texture packs was actually fairly simple!

After some work, and bringing my old Mario sprite collection back from the dead, I bring you:

This has changes for both Classic and Survival mode!

What has changed?

Terrain, armer, and items! (Ripped from sprites (blank spots (white) are atm filled by a texture template by ezefeld all will be ripped sprites in the 1.0)



Mobs!



Creepers    = Bombombs
Zombies    = KoopaTroopas
Skeletons    = Hammer Bro. (Bow and  Arrows are now Hammers)
Spiders    = Goombas
Squid =  Blooper
Ghast = Boo
Chicken = Mini Winged Goomba


Armer!



Leather(cloth) = Fire suit
Iron    = Turtle suit
Gold    = Tanooki suit
Diamond    = Mario suit

Whats to come for v1.0?

  Yoshi!
  Some terrain textures will be swapped to make more sense.
  Some editing of textures.

Hey you should download boo sounds and rewrite ghast sounds with them, because ghast crying and screaming is not nice from boo =)
Btw, nice mario pack =)

TY! and yes I would love to replace all the sounds for the 1.0 version but I havent found any guides for that as I am still new to minecraft

some of those textures your using i drew in adobe fireworks personally, even though they look like mario textures they are only meant to resemble, so if your going to reuse my textures i'd appreciate some credit please.

you could have done a better job at making this not look like an edited copy of my mario pack at least. sorry sir but i must give a thumbs down for lack of originality.

A few of them I threw in because a few friends wanted copys and I was not finished and threw it on a random tamplate I found off goggle (hence the 0.5 instead of just finishing it)

I assure you everything in the 1.0 is riped from sprites or drawn by me

If you want me to throw your name up for credit into it I have no issues with that and I appologise for any offense I may have given :/

First, you should download the voices.
Second, You should find the files of those sounds.
Third, you need to go at .minecraft folder and open the Resources folder, and go into newsound folder.
Fourth, rename the mario sounds to minecraft sounds, like: Boo laugh=moan1
Fifth, rewrite minecraft sounds with mario sounds.
Done!

Naw just throw my name in their somewhere.

Really Its the internet people do what they want so no way to stop it either way. I got a chunk of the 1.0 done Yoshi is almost done and will replace pigs (the sattle(sp?)  feature kinda made it a must)

Just leaves cows Mob wise and am looking for suggestions

In the 1.0 pigs are going to be skinned to look like yoshies

I was waiting for someone to do this. It would have been so easy with the old ones, especially with emulators, so I don't know why I didn't do one my self. I may do one based off of Super Mario World as my first minecraft project.

This is fantastic, but I have noticed that your pack is incomplete. If say I (or anyone else) where to submit our rendition of missing elements, you could incorperate or use the ideas/pictures given to you (DokuCraft works in such a way). I think that this could be an unbelivebly popular texure pack (but I still think too few people know about it). P.S. you will need to put up a email/website account for people to send to you
