I tried searching for this issue but had no luck.

I run a very simple, vanilla private server for some friends and family of mine. It's great, I figured out all the port forwarding and upgrading with each snapshot and all that business. All was fine and dandy until I updated the exe file a few files back and now the "Log and chat" in the server window that normally shows lines of information, commands and chat logs is blank. I can go in and view the log files manually but it's a pain. Normally when I'm not playing I keep it open so others can log on as they please. I can see player names when they log on in the "Players" section. But if someone cannot connect for any reason I don't know unless I go look at the log file or try to log in myself.

I'm just wondering if this is a bug or if I'm missing a line of command? I launch with a .bat file but all I've changed on that is the name of the .exe since I made the server.

I'm pretty computer savvy but software programming is not my forte.

Most likely a bug. If your using a snapshot server, then just use the latest released version.

I have been. Several versions later it's still happening.

Don't worry; it's most likely a bug as I am currently having the same exact problem.

Cool, thanks.
Wanted to make sure I didn't unwittingly delete some important file.
