That actually shouldn't be too hard. Just get a bunch of stone (wood, dirt...), and start placing them in a straight line, using the sorta glitch thingy that lets you walk over the edge a bit and place another one under yourself. Soon, you have a straight line going anywhere at any height over anything. Apply tracks.

As for the sky fort, you can just build a stairwell as high as you want, then build your fort, and deconstruct the stairwell. Simple.

if you do so without cheats its a accomplishment of epic proportions. Otherwise, it is nothing special.

I'm pretty sure Notch has now included code that notices if you are flying or something like that.

I don't know if the game does anything about it, but whatever it does will probably involve not letting you fly.

Though I also remember that the game could either recognise flight but not noclip or noclip but not flight. I forget which.

Epicness has been achieved. Without cheats. So it is possible, but it's time consuming to do a skyfort without cheats.

I do admit, though. Flying would have made it easier, but also would have taken the fun and skill required out. I prefer to know I did this with my own skill. Try it sometime.

I actually didn't have that much trouble with it. I rarely ever fall when building in the air. It's probably from all my experience playing bhop servers in CS, and playing TFC.
