You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!
I havent found a single magic biome, I've gone a few thousand blocks and I'm pretty sure they dont generate on large biomes. I've tested in normal biome worlds and they spawn there ._.
That could be it. I have largebiomes enabled — it makes the world more realistic. I just completely regenerated my test server twice, and both times went and explored about 4000-5000 blocks in several directions, without seeing a single silverwood tree or magical forest.
I'll try a test server regen with largebiomes off and see what happens.
Hey Azanor i got a bug report btw beast mod dont stop updateing but the bug is the mod isnt compatible with the carpenter mod when you place a carpenter bed a a jar with a brain in it shows up on the growned and thats a easy way for people to cheat in a brain in a jar so i was just menchining but other wise great mod would love to learn from you some time.
This isn't a bug, it's an ID conflict. You need to compare the Thaumcraft and Carpenter config files and change the conflicting IDs to an available ID.
Item IDs, I understand, are going away in Minecraft 1.7. Hopefully the problem of ID conflicts between different mods will also go away forever along with it. (I assume they're going to use a heirarchical-namespace model.)
4.0.2a crash when scanning blocks. I was going around scanning things after not scanning anything in 4.0.2 and there was quite a few things to scan, Ars Magica 2 stuff mostly, It was either Moonstone block, placed White Chalk, or Basalt Brick from Project red that caused this crash.

I think this is a bug with node generation in vanilla temples. I discovered a tainted node above a jungle temple and when I later returned I saw 2 nodes there, both normal. I'm going to grab one and break the other and see if another node respawns there.

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
This has probably been asked many times before but what is best to research for aer??
It runs out so quickly for me and all the nodes i research don't really even add up my aspect points for aer and i have no idea why.
It was also one of the most complained about features which is why I ended up removing it.
Would it be possible at all... to make that feature toggleable, and bind it to a key? That way people who don't like it aren't forced to use it, and the people who had a taste of something they loved aren't left behind.
Could someone explain how I can get the blue magical forest back? On a side note, does anyone have a server I could join that runs TC4?

He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.
Okay, I'm stumped on this research note (infernal furnace).
As you can see, I have all but one of the nodes connected. I even have a bunch of extra runes. But I can't get the last node to connect, even though it looks like it should. I've tried each different rune in that spot, it wont connect... except sometimes if the rest of the lines aren't connected - if I block an existing line with a bogus rune, or turn off the fire symbol (Orange runes), suddenly that last node in the top right will connect to his neighbor, but as soon as I connect the rest, it disconnects. What am I missing?

And upon generating a world with level-type=DEFAULT, about 700 blocks from the spawn I found a magical forest biome teeming with wisps and containing about 16 silverwood trees. So ... apparently the issue is that with level-type=LARGEBIOMES, magical forest biomes either aren't spawning, or are spawning so far apart that you can search a large chunk of your world and never stumble across one.
My reasoning for changing the color:
I was never completely happy with the blue color - it was a bit bland and cold imo. Thaumcraft has the whole "magic=life energy" thing going on, so a magical forest should be vibrant and alive.
Have you considered variegated colors? Here i'm using a light cyan and vibrant green.
Also nothing says "alive" like lots and lots of flowers and ferns.
If you want to go further a "moss" block that sticks to the sides of rocks and trunks (like vines) would further the idea of an abundance of life.

The source node cannot have two outputs, nor can anything else. You must bridge the leftmost node to the inactive node with the unused runes.

Number the nodes one through five from left to right, with the inactive node #5. You didn't specify which is the starting node. Is it node #4? If so, try moving runes around to connect #5 to #1 instead of to #4, so the chain is 4-3-2-1-5. You have enough free runes to do it. Remember that you can't split two ways off a node.
Thaumometer Crash when Looking at a mob spawner, this crash occurs before beginning to scan, just looking at the spawner and the player ends up being trapped because they will crash immediately upon reloading.

I think this is a bug with node generation in vanilla temples. I discovered a tainted node above a jungle temple and when I later returned I saw 2 nodes there, both normal. I'm going to grab one and break the other and see if another node respawns there.
It runs out so quickly for me and all the nodes i research don't really even add up my aspect points for aer and i have no idea why.
Would it be possible at all... to make that feature toggleable, and bind it to a key? That way people who don't like it aren't forced to use it, and the people who had a taste of something they loved aren't left behind.

Alternatively, try going 4-5-3-2-1.
Crash Report:
http://pastebin.com/mFCnWRgB
This occurred on a 1.6.4 MCPC+ server and later in single player testing. On the server it was a client crash, the server did not crash.
I saved the server player by covering the spawner in stone before he logged back in.
Mithion is making one, I believe or.... check out MagiPunk, the server I play on.
