i'm really liking this mod! looking forward to other wands *cough* a wand that makes big holes in the ground but doesn't destroy ores! *cough* :)

anyways thank you and you did an amazing job on this. almost forgot, can you give us your signature so we use it and more people will know about this!

Ok it's probably going to be at least a week before the next update because I plan on jumping straight to v2.

So to keep your mouths watering here's a list of what I hope to add in version 2.
    [*:14cgvp5f]Wand experience and levelling/evolving
    [*:14cgvp5f]Level 2 versions of the four current wands
    [*:14cgvp5f]Four new level 1 wands (ice, plant, explosion and lightning)
    [*:14cgvp5f]Magical armour set
    [*:14cgvp5f]Fire sword and Earth pickaxe

So in total that's 8 new wands B)

I'll keep you posted on progress with new vids and pics.

Currently two out of 4 do what I want them to do, I'm having some trouble getting the wind leggings to double your speed (I managed to travel very far very fast and splatter myself against a cliff a long way from my house :Notch: )

I'm also thinking of changing it to use gold instead of diamond (to give gold a purpose) and also making an over all bonus if your wearing all 4 pieces, something like, max armor regardless of armor damage as long as all 4 pieces are worn at once.

And one last thing, I'm not very happy with the way magic armor is crafted so I'm tempted to attempt adding an Enchanting Table block in a later update, like a furance but with One slot for the item you want to enchant one slot for the orb you want to enchant it with and one slot for MP to be used like fuel.

Originally it was made using diamonds so that the pieces were harder to make so their balanced.

I planned on adding a bonus effect if your wearing the complete set but if the general opinion is that the set is too powerful then I won't lol.

hey man,
First things first, i love your mod. It is original, easy to install, and it works perfectly with my other mods (Mlv5, Audio mod, shelves mod, SDK's gun mod, Portal Gun V6, and TooManyItems Inventory editor)

Anyways, i had a quick suggestion. I noticed when you use the wind mod that if you launch yourself using it then you can use it again to slowly glide down from your fall, but no matter what speed you land at or how many times you buffer your fall you always take the original amount of damage that you would have received if you had just let yourself fall. Could this be fixed?

I don't find the armor set *that* overpowered. You could make the pieces take damage when they are used and eventually break, like tools. I think that would solve the problem.

Also, i like your mod, keeping it up :D
History repeats itself because no one was listening the first time.

Yes this can be fixed I just haven't tried yet lol that's how I wanted it to work originally anyway hopefully that will be part of v2.

I thought about that but then I thought how would I define being used? for example would the boots be used every step cus if they were they'd break really quickly lol.


What I think I'm going to do is give them the same duration as gold armour or maybe slightly less so they break from damage sooner.

Pleease, don't make the armor duration as gold, better make them the duration an iron set has. Or they will break too fast... Or for future versions you can make them different (with iron - the duration iron has, with gold - the gold duration, with diamond - diamond duration, of course if it will be not too much to ask). For now, diamonds for you. :) :D :Leaves: :SSSS: :Diamond: :-)

Well i don't see your magic armor set as a full-time armor. More like a "tool" used when you need it.
Let's say, you're exploring a cave, you put the chestplate for security in case you fall in a lava pool. But outside, you don't need it.

Here's how i see things :

- helmet - get slowly used when underwater or when damaged by a mob
- chestplate - get used when in lava or on fire or when damaged by a mob
- leggings - get slowly used when running or when damaged by a mob (either make them durable because otherwise they would break quickly, or change the crafting recipe to something less costly)
- boots - get used when running or when damaged by a mob

Everything would break quickly if used full-time. But if you use them when you need them, they could last a very long time.
That's only my opinion tho, and it all depends about how you see your mod ^^.

V1.3 is out now which makes the mod minecraft v1.4 compatible.

It also adds bugfixes to the Wind and Fire Wands.

Lemme know what you think (I'm still not quite happy with the Fire wand).

No Armors yet I'm saving them for v2.

Edit: BTW, if you get the time, can you post in the OP what each staff does? Not really a big deal, would just be useful so that you don't actually have to test each rod.

I would do but IMO it's more fun for me if I don't give away all the secrets :DBlock:

Plus as I add more items with increasingly epic effects (hopefully) it would spoil the surprise if I told you what they did.

.7z is a 7zip file type you'll have to download 7zip from here.

The file type is intentional, to install the mod you need 7zip or Winrar to open the minecraft.jar.

You should make the orbs like grenades when rightclick, like elemental grenades. Fire makes fire etc

You sexy bastard. This is by far the BEST mod EVARS. No joke. Simple, effective, balanced and well coded. The sprites are perfect and get their point across. Cooking redstone to get MP means that I don't have to Mine Essence->Make Altar for Each Rune-> Enchant Runes-> Use Rune Once ->Repeat. The simplicity is just so epic! And it allows my 90 stacks (nojoke) of redstone to be useful! I might make the staves more rare though, maybe adding a diamond requirement as a "focusing" crystal. This would make each staff something treasurable and not something I have 30 laying around "just cuz." On the armour: Could you possibly add an option to disable the boot ability? Or change the boot ability? I don't like the idea of having mossy so easily and I don't like the idea of the ground crunching every time I take a step. ;)
