Hmmm, I only have the molten metals, no metallurgy parts. Using latest version.
Edit: Can you give me the default ids for the metallurgy-metals-toolparts? My config folder is cluttered, maybe there's an id conflict that I can't find.
The ore dictionary is allowing me to use them as ingots. I can still craft with them. Also i have only tested this out with iron, tin and copper. The iron did not display this glitch but the copper and tin did and just to be through i switched back to vanilla textures to make sure that it was not my resource pack and it was not.
BTW I am using the D9 build of tinkers and the most current build of Extra TIC.

HI Partonetrain,
Here is a link with the defaults, http://pastebin.com/WEuxvdmG
keep in mind, forge adds 256 to item IDs.
I have found a small bug with Extra TIC. When your making ingots with the smeltery this happens: http://thecraftydawg.imgur.com/all The ore dictionary is allowing me to use them as ingots. HI DawgOwnage,
I can't access that page, so can you try to repost them using direct link to the image.
Thanks that works,
Looks like you have an Item ID conflicts with frypan head, you need to fix those to make it work.
So, try changing the ID of the frypan head to a new unused ID in the config file and see if works.

Its working but now its coming up as Thermal Expansion ingots. I can live with that though.
Nice work!!
I dont know if it already has been suggested or if its possible to do, but could you add the metals to the Tcon Books materials and you part 2 and Mighty Smelting so that people can see what stats the metals have ingame?
Thanks 0phoff,
Adding the metals to the manual are part of the plan ;),
At the moment you can use an ingot in the part builder to check the stats
Uhh, you added tools now, nice. I saw this add-on the other day but it was smelting only, so I didn't added it to my world. Gonna do it now.
Guess I'll have to give my Pickaxe of the Core a nice vacation.

Couldn't you make Tartarite a bit more balanced? I hate mods that have one absolute best material to make tools/whatever out of.
I know it's pretty damn hard to make it, but it's pretty boring to have one that dominates in all but one category.

HI moonra,
The thing is the stats are from Metallurgy with exception of the modifier.
The reason of not changing the stats is that you should get the same stats when you make a pickaxe with both binding, and rod made of wood.
Example: Tartarite Pickaxe head + wooden binding + wooden tool rod, would give the exact stats of Metallurgy's normal Tartarite pickaxe.
Besides, Tartarite doesn't have effects at the moment, plus I don't have plans to add them to Tartarite.
But to make a Tartarite pick that way you'd only need one ingot, while you'd need three to make it the normal way. I know that's how TiC works, but then you also gave it a x3 durability modifier on the handle AND the highest damage. Just seem too OP for me, and having absolutely best materials like that are quite boring, IMO.

Tartarite is following Manyllyn in the handle modifier/Durability relation department, as it's clearly higher metal than Manyllyn so it gets a higher handle modifier.
See, I also find it pretty boring how Manyullyn is better at most things than the other ones, although that is offset by the abilities... and the Electric upgrade. Nothing better than a full Ardite, electric hammer.
Will you implement only vanilla TiC abilities? And will you implement Metallurgy sword ablities?

I'm just a Minecraft player that likes to give my opinion. Nothing special to see here.

And what config file is this in? There's 11 configs that have to do with this mod!

The metallurgy parts are provided by ExtraTiC, so it's ExtraTiC.cfg.
Glad to here it's working now

Umm... Guess you can check the logs in your .minecraft, there are 3 logs to look at, ForgeModLoader-client-0,output-client,and output-server.
If you don't find anything, try changing the Toolrod ID in ExtraTiC's config to a new one, it could be a ID conflict.

Sorry about the delayed replies, been busy lately.
Glad you have gave the mod a second look
There is no order of installation, the important thing that the 3 mods are there before running Minecraft.
You can check the stats by placing an Ingot of metallurgy metals in the partbuilder.
Although, There a spreadsheet made by the community, you can find it at Google Docs
