For the same price as an Alienware Aurora with 3820 and 660 you can get an overclocked 3570K and 7970. To match that kind of performance with the Alienware would entail moving up to the 680 option which pushes the price over $1800, where you could easily get a 3930K and 780.
Not to mention the vastly superior components inside.

Specs aren't EVERYTHING though, value and component quality comes into play too.
