Is the Hydro kinetic meant to be used only with very large water drops?
I've not seen any waterwheels that operate like that so it kind of feels outside the spirit of the mod when I built one, there seems to be an effort to try and keep things grounded in reality which I really like about this mod. I built a normal looking one but the channel is just above the wheel which means the hydro kinetic ends up being a very poor source of power.
Conservation of momentum. Falling only a few meters yields very little energy.
Oh, another thing I forgot to ask about: did you mean to use coal ORE dust in the ammonium nitrate recipe? Seems strange... Even if you did, care to explain why?
That is a typo.

Maybe when the pendants get moved into ChromatiCraft; some sort of magic bag seems appropriate.
Yay! And ChromatiCraft, very fitting, I like it! Is that coming for v20?
On a related note, how will adding that to a world that previously had geostrata and dye trees go?
Ah, I actually see that now that I look at the code. Easy mistake.
Also, RWTema's response to the issue I created for energy nodes and pipes not working with magnetostatics:
"I'm afraid I don't see any reason on my end why it wouldn't work and I'm not aware of any other RF compatible machines have this problem."
So, wait, you say it's his problem, but he says it's yours?

I have seen universal cables fail to deliver power to them; this seems to be triggered by world reloads.
I have no idea what is going on, and the code is pig-simple. I do not need to do any special requests or anything.
I wonder exactly what would happen if someone gave him a middle finger. Then decompiled his mods and did all the optimizations for him. Give him credit as the legit mod author of course. But lay claim to fixing his mods. 9/10 people wouldn't care about the fact he ripped off reika and would install the mods because well lets admit the fact here. Less lag!
He's not an author. Fact is, most authors would never do this, having their own mods and being understanding about intellectual property. It's easy for people to be douchebags on a virtual forum, when they have to do 0 work themselves.
the fusion reactor video didnt really explain the relation of the neutron absorbers, what is the rules to therir placement can they be placed one block above the center of the reactor and another one block below
also how close can they be to the coils the video said that it would be inefficient to make them in a square but how inefficient
if you have any layout designs im trying to test it in creative before survival but go all the way
You should be able to see neutrons fly off from the reactor or you can place neutron absorbers on different levels not touching one another and see which one heats up.

Just a note that this can be disabled in the config, partly for enhanced realism at the cost of user-friendliness and partly because in a fusion reactor, neutrons carry significant render load.

Just in case, though, I have prepared a nasty little surprise for anyone who does plan to steal my code or my mod.
I just want to make something very clear so that others do not get ideas:
decompile?
he does realise you are open source right?
My mods are visible source, not open source. The distinction is extremely important; the latter license type actually requires the permission of and encourages redistribution and modification. The former does not.
maybee this guy hate you,but for most of the people, you are the best!!!
I seem to be an extremely polarizing figure in the modding community. I can name half a dozen modpack or mod devs who hate me and everything I stand for, and a good 20% of the modded MC community would prefer my 1.7 update be "RC has been discontinued". A large portion of that is due to ideological differences; The mod devs tend to hate my "Even if it is computationally intensive, if it is required for realism, it stays" position, and some hate my coding style, as I care little about "standard conventions" of code where they have no practical purpose ("OMG WHO TAUGHT YOU HOW TO CODE USE LOWERCASE PACKAGE NAMES AND NEVER CAPITALIZE A VARIABLE NAME AND WHAT'S THIS LOCAL VARIABLES THAT ARE NOT FINAL THIS CODE IS THE WORST CODE EVER AAGH AN ENUM FOR ITEMS"). The modpack devs tend to dislike me for similar reasons, though many also strongly disapprove of my "no screwing with the RC techtree" rule.
When it comes to the community, it is more about how a large chunk of the community loves it when the game is - in my opinion nearly unplayably - difficult, and a significant subset of them are of the opinion that that is the only legitimate way to play, and that anyone doing otherwise is cheating, and that any mod designed against that is "encouraging people to cheat at a game that is already way too OP", as one person put it.

Reika, I noticed something strange with the reactor.
I just have a single pipe filled with plasma and not connected to the plasma injector but when I start it, the reactor never seems to run out of plasma. Ran it for ten minutes real time and still it kept going, didn't use up any of the plasma in the pipe.

I can confirm that it consumes plasma. However, it does so gradually (2mB/t), as plasma is so rarefied.

Just in case, though, I have prepared a nasty little surprise for anyone who does plan to steal my code or my mod.
It's funny though, because anybody can see this surprise in the code anyway. Sure, it may be difficult to replicate the conditions you're checking for, but it's probably not impossible. Then again, I'm sure that you, being the great coder that you are, could always add more and better checks and just as nasty results if they fail.
What I don't understand is why you're so greatly under-appreciated, misinterpreted, and, for some inexplicable reason, downright hated by such a relatively large percentage of the community. I mean, really, even if people don't like you, what ever happened to "agree to disagree?!"
Also - if all this troll garbage against you doesn't prove just how immature far too much of the Minecraft community really is... well, then I honestly don't have any idea what would. TBH, I actually hope that some of the trolls read this and get my (hopefully simple enough) message, which, really, just goes for life in general. But let me spell it out anyway: be nice or STFU!

How much Deuterium/Tritium does it use per cycle?
If I can recreate the set-up I had to supply those from my GregTect Fusion Reactor (the system was extremely self-sufficient) would it be able to keep up with the demands of your reactor?
Are those reactors stackable? Given the height of the Plasma Injectors, would it be possible to stack 5 of them on top of each other to maximize space?
Could someone help me figure out why adding in RotaryCraft to this GalactiCraft pack gives me an error with RailCraft? I don't know why it's crashing on this, but I added in new mods one by one to make sure it would load fine and when I put in RotaryCraft, I get this error. http://pastebin.com/VCfKByZR
I know none of your mods are mentioned, but it loads fine without them and crashes when I pop RotaryCraft in. GeoStrata and DyeTrees work fine however.
So here's an idea for RC.
One of the most annoying functions of vanilla MC is if you want to map something out, you have to carry around maps with you and hold them equipped in your hand while walking around in order for anything to record and when it does record you have to walk around in circles to make sure you uncover the whole map. Needless to say, I find this extremely annoying but I do enjoy exploring and I like stitching maps together for a nice wall display.
Is there a way to simplify this process machinery wise where we're able to do large scale land surveying or aerial mapping or launch a satellite or something? I know there's an aerial camera but something a little more large scale and able to fill out maps?
I apologize for not posting this bug when I first discovered it, as it's an old one, but I'm not much of a forums person. The filling station does not have any sort of validation for what items can go in the armor slots. For example, something like this is possible:
This seems to be mostly harmless, however, odd things (read: crashes) occur when the jetpack is not worn on the chest like it's supposed to and you attempt to fly.

I kind of like that, but how would it logically work? There is no way for it to aerially scan the area.

Uhoh. We talking world corruption? That might stick me on 1.6.4 for a while, we only just in the last two weeks got a stable world, at long last.
