Can anyone write a tutorial (or make a video) on how generate a very small custom structure (about 8x8x8) randomly in the world? Thanks in advanced!

There are several ways to do this...use of schematics, just straight code, or world gen. Also are you using forge or modloader, makes a difference. Also there are tutorials for making custom structures like that. Popgalop has a nice one for that very thing for modloader and wuppy has a nice forge tutorial.....

Those are made using components in MC code. I have only seen one or two mods that actually make new components for world spawning as this way of doing it is really hard for most. IMHO, it would be easier to make a structure and export it as a schematic using mcedit. Then use a schematic to java and then you have a world class to load your structure with. Thats how I do it, as well as others.

Seriously....bump? I gave you the link you asked for. You just have to look through wuppys code its an older tutorial, but it still works pretty good. You are not going to find a better one at all, if you find another one for forge at all. This is where I learned how to do this very thing and then learned more on my own.....
