I'm trying to start modding and the tutorial I'm following says to find and back up the bin folder. Of course it isn't there any more, so is there a way to get the bin folder, or is there another better way to mod?

Bin Folder 1.6.2

If you are trying to mod 1.6.2 then there isn't a bin folder. The new launcher puts the jar and json files in the version folder. I had that same problem when I started trying to mod. From one beginner to another, do research and watch videos. It will help.
