Tall Doors

Many of my buildings suffered for an appropriate door, but the vanilla doors were always to small,

so i made these bigger doors, maybe someone else also likes them.

Actual Version: 0.4.0b - Minecraft Version: 1.7.2 - Forge: 10.12.0.1059

At the moment there are just three of these doors, sized 2x4, 2x5 and 2x6, but I will expand it, maybe even with modular doors. The mod differentiate between left and right doors, so there is no autodetection of walls or something like that, but maybe someone want to have to left doors next to each other.

The Drawbridge is a very early version, since 0.2.2 the base is created in the drawbridge workbench and can be theoretically any size between 1x1 to 64x64 (but at about 30x64 you can't have enough planks in your bag). Note that the old recipe for the base and machine are no longer active.

Version 0.3 is here! With keys for doors and redstone locks and mosaics.

Finally found some time for upgrading to 1.7.2, it should work but bugs are common at converting...

Now this is severely tempting. Having some good solid keep doors/city gates would be amazing for some of my builds.

Out of curiosity, how do zombies react to them?

Finally :D

Big doors are amazing, they add the best atmosphere to Kingdoms/Castles.
I'm gonna start using this mod all the time.

Great mod, was well needed.

As a request, can you add round doors? To explain what I mean, look at this image: http://img11.imagesh...21223131335.png

With all the wooden pieces being part of the doors?

Looks real nice.

Any plans to add larger gates for fences as well. maybe two block wide gates. Would make farming and breeding animals much easier.
Still just those doors are real nice.

You haven't tried hard enough.

Ok i tested the doors with zombies (many zombies were harmed in this test).
The results:
-Zombies can see you through these doors, since these are entities not blocks
-They can't walk through the doors
-But they can harm you, if you stand too near, as far as i could see they were able to walk nearer to the bounding box of the door, i will try to solve this, but don't know how at the moment

About round doors: I think i will need sub-entities for it, but it is possible, i will try it
And about fence gates: these are planned to be created (will be the next thing i build)
Working on: doors, larger than ever before

Thank you for testing, re: zombie interaction. :D

Ok, made a first update with fence gates and two bugfixes
(one i would call critical for function, because of defense against skeletons)

Screens of Fence Gate:
Spoiler:

At the moment they just work well between two fences, I tried to let it fit this arrangement. I think i have to let it scan its neighbors for blocks and change its size then.

Those fences look great. They are just what I imagined they would be. Can't wait to use them in my Chocobo stables and farms.

Found an interesting bug, you can place a door even if there isn't enough room (i.e.: and size door in a 3 high opening) and it functions for one opening then moved vertically even if there are blocks there. Also you can place blocks in the way and they more as well.

Added version 0.1.5
It's just a small update to force the doors to stop jumping.
Additionally I added two textures for the basic 2x4 door.

Spoiler:

The placing problem is not solved yet, but I will do that as next task.
Next steps:
-Add checking at placement and open/close
-Fix that it is possible to place blocks right into the door either by dropping block or door (not sure about which I will choose)
-Continue with actual bigger addition (will add a drawbridge)
-add red signal checking for open/close door
Working on: doors, larger than ever before

Added Version 0.2.0a
This version contains a very early (but when you do it right - good working) version of the drawbridge.
I was asked to upload this before I go on vacation.
Some parts of it are not done yet:
It just let you go across, if it is all the way down.
The machine has just one blocking part, this is the only part reacting to red power and right clicking at the moment.
It does not check any collision with blocks on placement or its way up and down.

Spoiler:

So if you want to use it, try it. I will hunt bugs in some days.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep up with this mod. This is a great addition to minecraft. It's so simple but something the game really needed. I love the draw bridge idea.Really genius. Thanks for this and great job.

perhaps you could post a video showing how to build the drawbridge? I can't figure how to put the connector.
EDIT: You have to right click the connector to both sides block thing and it will auto matically connect to the draw bridge. Then to power  run redstone from a lever or a button to both sides of the block. It works perfectly. I love this mod for the draw bridge alone.

I second this! Downloading now! Awesome mod :D

(Also, not tried it in-game, but is that crafting recipie right? it seems like the door for the "Left door size 4" and "left fence" should have the door/fence in the middle of the left column not in the bottom-left...)

I had to place it in the bottom left corner, because my recipes were mirrored. Both left middle and right middle produced the right size 4 door. I have to see if I can stop it from mirroring.
