"The Painsquid"- A squid with an invisible Ghast atop it.
WANT.
"Oh, hello squid, what are you doing here?"
*Ghast scream*
"HOLY SH-"
Gotta make sure the squids have enough health to survive drowning in the air, though.
In my opinion, I think that the mob stacking idea will be over-abused in upcoming CTM maps, which will not be favorable. Its kind of like when everyone wanted to make ROM-hack maps, then it went to some other stuff. I can see it now, every dungeon in some upcoming mediocre CTM's having cheesy stacked mobs.
You're just mad that people other than Vechs have the ability to mapmake (and mostly well at that), aren't you? That's all I see from your posts in this thread, and it's quite hilarious.
Since I'm more of a derp, I decided to add some ideas I have for happy, less painful mob stacks.
Mooshroom on spider. Just a basic mooshroom that now follows you around.
Squid on speed II bat. It's a loot squid!
Chicken on chicken on chicken on chicken on chicken. It's just a annoying constant chicken cluck sound, with the advantage of giving good resources with a more fun, slightly less grindy aproach.
Ocelot on wolf. This is saying taming a wolf/ocelot won't cause it to fall off. If it stays on, you can have a creeper attack squad.
Strong explosion creeper on ocelot. This is just to see what happens. You have a strong destructive mob that runs away, but it still has a nasty explosion.
I like the idea of the ocelot riding the wolf but I think the ocelot should be invisible otherwise it would look a bit weird...
this is more or less why I was worried about the mobstacking thing. that mob just seems ridiculous.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is the worst thing I've seen in Inferno Mines thus far. This is in Intersection 3 in what I think is an optional area, not completely sure on this is true but it seems like an optional area (And if anything I won't be back there unless I need to).
Try Single Player Console instead of Single Player Commands. A few less features, but much less buggy overall. Still has World Edit support.
I used to use Singleplayer Console before SPC was updated.
My only problem with it, is that when you're using WE, you have to actually get where you can see a block's hit box to actually use brushes/craftscripts.

Annoying as hell.
Agreed, but at least console doesn't crash, lag or randomly mess up selections.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
SH maps beaten: Sea of Flame II, Infernal Sky II, Kaizo Caverns, Nightmare Realm, Sunburn Islands, Spellbound Caves, Waking Up and counting....
Btw. about mobstacking, someone said thing about SPC.
I spawned spider on the spider on the spider etc. and it gave me spiders that looked like they had Speed 20 potion.

I'm sure there was command that you could make your range bigger.
//update - Sets the player reach distance.
Knew it, but there is no command like that in 1.3+ versions sadly.
Stacked mobs actually bring about more prioritizing kinds of fighting.
Say you have mob totems, of say, a Witch on top, a Skeleton in the middle, and a Zombie on the bottom. The Zombie is really, really fast. The skeleton moves very slow, but has insanely high damage. And the Witch throwing the potions is, by effect, healing the below 2 mobs... and the Witch has an insane amount of health. So, which do you attack first -- the bottom, being the speed demon, the middle, being the power demon, or the top, being the undead healing demon?
Another application that I can think of offhand... with the mob spawners that can spawn multiple kinds of mobs... you could spawn any number of randomization totems.
Yeah, you know what we need? A randomization tool that spits out a list of all possible totem arrangements based on what mobs you give it to work with, so that you could input that into a custom spawner tool and have a spawner that spawns all of the possible totem arrangements based on the mobs you tell it to randomize.
I think all these discussion about different type of stacky mobs are going to be going on for like another 20 pages. I'm hoping Vetches or somebody will do a video showing off like the best stacks there is and how it will be utilized in maps...
(BTW there needs to be like a separate page for stacky mobs)

EDIT: I was kinda hoping to get pg. 2500 though
Seems like you posted this just to get a page get on pg. 2500 and I think the 20 pages is a bit of an understatement, it should go on for over 9000 pages.
Edit: Changed my avatar
Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
My mob stacks
-Zombie Jockey (Skele on Zombie)
-Fire spiders (Spiders with Blazes on them)
-Durp Blaze (Bats on Blazes)
-Painsquids(?) (Skeles on squids)
Sounds sooo awesome!
Edit: I hate double posts

How about a Ghast with something inside so that you can't see what it is (preferably a ranged mob)
Example 1: Mooshroom on ghast: Kill the Ghast, mooshroom drops to the ground and dies. Player: DAHHHHH!
Example 2: Witch on a Ghast:
Player: I'm just gonna sit here and reflect fireballs!
Witch: HAH! I'm gonna drop a poison potion.
Player: ZOMG I can't reflect that!
An adventurer from earlier activated it when trying to get food.
You won't find him again; it was a very lethal trap.
WANT.

Hey! I like, run this... or something:

I'm waiting for 20% of people to die in the first Pantheon trap.

Danger zone.

Only 20 pages? That's lax by our standards.

After only 6 posts on that page? XD There are 20 posts per page, so keep an eye out if it means so much to you.
