[MC 1.5.2] OpenBlocks

OpenBlocks is an open source mod I've been working on lately, to go with the series: OpenCCSensors, OpenPeripheral and OpenXP.

The idea of OpenBlocks is to add small and interesting utilities to minecraft to make the gameplay a little bit more enjoyable.

There's no theme, and I'm ALWAYS looking for new ideas for blocks and items!

The mod will be released soon - I'm hoping to add just a couple more things to the mod first before I stick out a first release.

Here's a quick video overview:

Guide block, for help with building

Elevator block, for quickly travelling between levels in your base:

Lightbox, for display seamless maps

Target block, for shooting! The redstone output depends on how close to the centre you hit.

Torch arrows, to help you mine!

Jaded Ladder. It's a ladder. It's a trapdoor. no, it's a ladder!

Gravestone. If a player dies, it leaves a gravestone and spawn a ghost who drops the dead players items. The AI isn't done yet.

Dang, you've got great stuff coming along in here! I've made my own little elevator mod, but I love the way yours works. Each little part of this mod is kind of awesome. Those little things you wouldn't usually consciously think about, but are really convenient. I'm excited to see a first release!

I can't wait for this to be released! Will it run on 1.6? If it will, I'll use it on my server! :)

1.5.2 to start with, but I'll be upgrading to 1.6.2 shortly after release :)

A couple of new blocks added - both work in progress

Mining flags, so you don't get lost. Color changing will work differently, and you can put them on walls since I recorded this video.

Anywhere Tank. Turn any space into a tank.

I saw your actions with this mod on FTB, and I have to say that I love the ideas you have! I'll definitely be adding this to my modpack when it comes out. I hope the recipes will be more fair than some of OpenPeripherals', but it'll still be a good mod.

Everything looks very interesting, especially the elevator block and the block when you were putting map in it.

Keep up the work, I'd like to see this mod finished.

Just to clarify, with the "elevator" blocks, when on one, do you jump to go up one, or something else?

EDIT: Hot damn! That hang glider looks amazing! Good work man!

does the sprinkler work on crop like plants? (sugercane cactus etc) and does it help with the growth of melons and pumpkins? or just the stem

what if the answer to everything doesn't exist? we would have been chasing our own tail all along...

just a little idea, a block/item with can read how much ur valve tank/openblock tank (mabay add mod support) (can) store(s) would be nice! Posted Image. mabay make it so it shows u the income and outcome rate? (the standard output the tank can accept and output, and the amount its currently accepting and outputting)

what about when you place 2 or more pressure plates next to each other, they are fused together, so they act like one pressure plate? It would look really good on double doors using pressure plates for opening. it would also be great for adventure maps. But you also need a way to disable that, maybe strips and notches from forgemultipart could be used for that?
