I'm a pretty big fan of B-lazin Saddles (by BdoubleO100 & GeneriKB), but being a fan of westerns, seeing them run around with swords was driving me crazy. So to improve the realism of the series, I decided to create a few textures I think would improve Immersion.

Features:
  • New, more true to life textures for all melee weapons
  • Bow is now a revolver, complete with new sounds, and ammo
  • New walking sounds. Spur-Tastic! (Sounds amazing)
  • Skeletons have been changed to bandits
  • "Cat" record has been changed to a saloon type ragtime ensemble
  • Custom language file. Changed names of all edited items, all potions, and some chat notifications.

First! (incase it gets famous)
Please provide a download link for the current version too (1.5.2) until 1.6 is fully released.

Might use the revolver texture for Balkon's weapon mod for personal use!

New pack, thread is not up to date.

There isn't one, which is why I didn't include one.

Well... could you make one? Since you know most users are still using 1.5.2 (just convert it back).

No. this resource pack is intended to be used with the addition of features introduced in 1.6, therefore it would be pointless to convert. What's a cowboy without a horse?

I love the revolver thing. I wish the fired bullets were easier to see, since grabbing arrows that I miss with is a big thing for me, though.

Also, the only footstep sound that's working is the wood ones, for me. I tried walking on everything around where I live, from stone to wool to wood.

Language is working fine.

All the footstep sounds have changed, but it's subtle, I didn't want the spurs to be the louder than they would be in real life. As for the bullets, yes they are harder to find, but I kinda like it that way. Keep in mind this is an immersion pack, it's theme is the wild west, ammo conservation was important, learn to shoot straight, kid. ;]

No, no, no. What I mean is there's no sound at all. Like the footsteps are completely silent on all but wood. I even turned my laptop back up to 100% and turned Minecraft up to 100% (I usually have both on 50%, so it's twice as quiet as usual). Stuck my ear next to the speaker-- no sound.

EDIT: Just checked default Minecraft and it appears they've just REALLY turned down footstep sounds for some reason so I guess the subtle effect you've added just becomes completely unnoticed because of it. Not your pack's fault then.

The effect on the wood is good, though. Not too loud and not so quiet you can't hear it.

I've reinstalled the pack from the link above, and I'm unable to reproduce the error. It has to be client side. Try reinstalling it?

Also: Since I haven't posted on the forums except once before today, I only have 2 posts left after this one, I'll help as much as I can, but if I don't respond it's because I am waiting for approval.

Ah, good to know it's working. Thanks for the DL!

Perhaps the bullets as an item can be easier to see too. Put more together or make an ammo pouch/box?

Possibly a revolver speedloader? Sounds legit, I'll mull it over.

This is an awesome resource pack, maybe you need some help for the textures? If you want to, I can help you with that.
